A young girl has been rushed to hospital after severing her finger tips in a horror playground accident.
Emergency services were called to a park on Homebush Road in Strathfield just before 1:30pm on Monday after reports a child had been badly injured.
Paramedics and council workers arrived to find a five-year-old girl’s hand had gotten stuck in a carousel in the children’s play area.

Emergency services were called to a park on Homebush Road in Strathfield just before 1:30pm on Monday to find the badly injured girl
She was cared for by NSW Police and NSW Ambulance personnel while firefighters located her severed finger tips.
The five-year-old was then taken to Westmead Children’s Hospital for emergency surgery.
