Jen Shah blamed her former assistant Stuart Smith for betraying her as she faced trial on Wednesday’s season finale of The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City.Â
The 49-year-old reality star before pleading guilty to a federal charge of conspiracy to commit wire fraud said that Stuart, 45, was the cause of her misfortune.Â
Jen made that statement in a hotel room to Heather Gay, 40, and Meredith Marks, 51, who had traveled to New York City to support her ahead of her federal trial.
Placing blame:Â Jen Shah blamed her former assistant Stuart Smith for betraying her days on Wednesday’s season finale of The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City on Bravo
‘The hardest part for me this week has been somebody that I trusted, that I made sure that he didn’t lose his job five times at the company we worked for, made sure that his kids were put in school, made sure he had food on this table, what’s been the hardest for me this week is to learn that f***ing person has turned on me,’ Jen said.
‘Now I just read all the s*** that he said. Stuart’s a piece of f***ing s*** And he can play that ‘I’m little Stuart Smith’ no b**** you are an evil mother f***er and you played me,’ she told her friends.
Jen said she wouldn’t be in such dire straits if it wasn’t for her former assistant Stuart.
‘Stuart f***ing played me,’ Jen said during the season three episode titled Trials and Tribulations.
Her assistant:Â ‘Now I just read all the s*** that he said. Stuart’s a piece of f***ing s*** And he can play that ‘I’m little Stuart Smith’ no b**** you are an evil mother f***er and you played me,’ she told her friends as clips were shown of Jen working with Stuart

Supportive friends: Meredith Marks and Heather Gay went to New York City to support Jen ahead of her trial
‘What she is telling us I can hardly believe,’ Heather said in a confessional. ‘How is Stuart, the guy that chased her snacks and ordered her waxing appointments and bought her tampons. How is he also running this scheme and framing her, and she doesn’t know?’
Jen was thankful that Heather and Meredith came to New York to support her.
‘It’s like having the cavalry show up for you to help you fight,’ Jen said in a confessional. ‘It’s giving me that support I need to help me prepare for what’s ahead.’

Jen had spent the day meeting with her attorney Priya Chaudry while Heather and Meredith and her husband Seth, 50, went out for lunch.
‘They got the witness list and saw all the former people in their lives that are going to be testifying, and they also got little excerpts of what they’re going to say,’ Heather told them.
Heather said Jen’s husband Sharrieff ‘Coach’ Shah, 51, confided in her that it was really hard to read all those things about Jen.
Witness list:Â ‘They got the witness list and saw all the former people in their lives that are going to be testifying, and they also got little excerpts of what they’re going to say,’ Heather told them.
‘This thing’s coming like a freight train right now,’ Seth said. ‘She’s either going to be free and innocent, or the reality, God forbid, she’s found guilty.’
‘Nobody is disputing that the scheme happened,’ Meredith said. ‘The question stems from Jen’s involvement. Did she have knowledge of what was going on?’
‘There is no proof,’ Heather said.
Scheme happened:Â ‘Nobody is disputing that the scheme happened,’ Meredith said. ‘The question stems from Jen’s involvement. Did she have knowledge of what was going on?’
‘It’s not a small thing where you could be facing six months in prison, this is a major, major trial,’ Meredith said.
‘Have either of you ever asked Jen if she’s guilty of any of these charges?’ Seth said.
‘When your friend looks you in the eye and says ”I’m innocent of this” you say I will support you in whatever path you’re going to take,’ Heather said.
Good question:Â ‘Have either of you ever asked Jen if she’s guilty of any of these charges?’ Seth said
Meredith said if Jen was proclaiming her innocence when she was really guilty and not taking accountability to the victims of what she did ‘that’s a really big problem for me.’
‘You believe the people you love,’ Heather said.
A producer asked Jen in a confessional if she was finally ready to tell them the real story. She didn’t answer.
Her response:Â ‘You believe the people you love,’ Heather said

‘I am overwhelmed with grief that we are in this situation, that there’s victims, that our friend is going away for a decade, and she has a sixteen year old,’ Heather said.
Lisa said all she could think about was Jen crying in the van about how she would not be able to see her children grow up. Lisa asked her what she felt when she read Jen’s statement with her guilty plea.
‘Shock,’ Heather said. ‘What she pled guilty to is… so bad and the fact that she had taken it this far and gone for this long and proclaimed her innocence, and now I can only think she did it and she thought she was going to get away with it.’
Feeling overwhelmed:Â ‘I am overwhelmed with grief that we are in this situation, that there’s victims, that our friend is going away for a decade, and she has a sixteen year old,’ Heather said
‘I didn’t want to believe that Jen was capable of doing any of that,’ Lisa said.
‘It was the last thing I expected for her to plead guilty,’ Heather said.
Heather said she had a theory that Coach discovered what Jen was doing and that it was impossible to explain away. She said she thought something in the witness statements might have been a smoking gun that made them realize that they couldn’t get out of.

‘You have to walk in there and say you did these things and you have to go to prison for a decade,’ Heather said. ‘And I’ll tell you right now if my husband knew about it and my husband was involved and he said ‘there you go, sis. I’ll take care of the boys. I’ll see you in 15 years. That, to me, is a whole other tragedy.’
‘I think she did it and I think it is…she’s choking on the words, and she doesn’t want to say it,’ Heather said. ‘It’s too big and the penalties are too big.’
Lisa started crying.
Got emotional:Â Lisa started crying as Heather told her about the case against Jen
The episode titled Trials and Tribulations opened with Heather’s ‘Bad Mormon’ book cover release and choir party. Meredith arrived and told Heather that her mysterious inflicted black eye appeared to be all gone. Heather hugged Whitney Rose, 36, when she showed up but then said in a confessional that she felt their relationship was now tainted.
‘It’s not that pure relationship that I once had where I could count on her for anything, and we were in it together, and I’m hoping we can get back there,’ Heather said.
Angie Katsanevas, 48, said she was planning on confronting Jen Shah at the party because she was saying she was responsible for Heather’s black eye. Angie K. said she actually heard that Jen hit Heather.

‘Guess what everybody is saying that perhaps her and Heather were in their room doing Barbie scissor kicks, and then Jen beat the sh** out of her,’ Angie K. said.
‘Wait, what do you mean by Barbie scissor kicks?’ Whitney asked..
‘They are in the room having a sexual relationship and then romping, bumping, and giving each other a black eye because maybe someone wasn’t very good in bed in the end,’ Angie K. Said.
Spreading rumor:Â ‘Guess what everybody is saying that perhaps her and Heather were in their room doing Barbie scissor kicks, and then Jen beat the sh** out of her,’ Angie K. said
Angie, 41, and her husband Chris Harrington apologized to Jen and Sharrieff for setting up the fake instagram account. Sharrieff accepted their apology.
Later, Heather performed with her choir at the party and unveiled her book cover.
‘If I am a Bad Mormon, I hope I can still be a good friend, and thank you all for coming tonight,’ Heather said.

‘Nothing like being invited to a book party with no books for sale,’ Angie K. said.
Angie K. confronted Jen over spreading a rumor that she gave Heather the black eye.
Speaking up:Â Angie K. confronted Jen for spreading the rumor that she gave Heather the black eye
‘Jen, you are going around spreading rumors that I gave Heather a black eye,’ Angie K. said.
‘That is a lie,’ Jen said.
Angie K. questioned whether Jen’s suicide attempt was even real.
Questioning everything:Â Angie K. questioned whether Jen’s suicide attempt was even real
‘Was it real?!’ Jen said angrily and then stormed off.
‘That she almost died?’ Sharrieff said. ‘That she tried to commit suicide.?…I was there during it.’
‘You don’t question someone’s mental health or suicide attempts,’ Jen said in a confessional. ‘That is beyond f***ed up.’
The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City will return next Wednesday on Bravo with the first of two reunion episodes.
