Randall Emmett insists ‘the FBI isn’t investigating me’ after ex-wife claims bureau contacted her

Embattled producer Randall Emmett slammed the allegations against him in a defiant Instagram video he uploaded Thursday.

His post came the day it emerged that his ex-wife Ambyr Childers, with whom he shares his two elder daughters London, 12, and Rylee, nine, was granted a temporary restraining order against him last month.

In a filing late last month, Childers claimed the FBI had contacted her to ask about Emmett’s ‘suspected activities with child exploitation and pedophilia.’

However, in his new Instagram video, Emmett dismissed the allegations as ‘cancel culture‘ and claimed he had obtained ‘confirmation’ that ‘the FBI has never been investigating me and isn’t investigating me because there’s nothing to investigate.’

In addition to London and Rylee, Emmett also shares a one-year-old daughter called Ocean with his ex-fiancƩe Lala Kent, who has accused him of infidelity and abuse.

Emmett has staunchly denied Kent’s claim that he ‘tackled’ her during a spat when she confronted him about allegations that he was unfaithful to her.Ā

‘Happy Friday, everybody,’ he began his new video this Thursday. ‘I am at a place where I felt I had to come on here and say something that actually was the truth versus, you know, the last 11, 12, 14 months that the things have been said about me. Everything under the sun, you know ā€“ narcissist, cheater.’

Emmett declared: ‘But at the end of the day, you know, I took the high road because I have three beautiful girls that I didnā€™t wanna be out there. I didnā€™t wanna have to do this. But at this point, you know, the lies have been stretched so far.’

He claimed: ‘We spent today getting confirmation, because we knew there was no truthfulness to any of this, that the FBI has never been investigating me and isnā€™t investigating me because thereā€™s nothing to investigate.’

Emmett, whose producing credits include The Irishman, argued that ‘unfortunately in this culture, you can just say whatever you want and then it gets written about and then that’s, you know, considered “truth” in this cancel culture.’

He asserted: ‘I’ve been a dad for a long time, I have custody of all my children and I have custody of all my children because Iā€™m a good father and Iā€™m a good person. And at the end of the day, you know, that is whatā€™s the most important thing.’

Emmett concluded: ‘At the end of my life, no matter what happens, Iā€™m gonna look my three daughters in the face and theyā€™re gonna know their dad was a great father.’

Nearly two months after she first sought aĀ restraining order against ex-husband, Childers was finally granted one three days before Christmas.

Emmett, 51, was ordered to stay 100 yards away from Childers, 34, who he was married to for eight years from 2009 to 2017, according to The Los Angeles Times.

He was also forbidden from contacting Childers, unless it is a, ‘brief and peaceful interaction’ about visitation for London and Rylee.Ā

Childers’ first request for a domestic violence restraining order was denied due to lack of evidence, though she submitted a new request – after, she claims, she was contacted by the FBI.

She alleged in the request, filed in late December, that she was contacted by the bureau on December 6, who asked her about Emmett’s, ‘suspected activities with child exploitation and pedophilia.’

She said in the declaration that the call from the FBI caused, ‘extreme destruction and disturbance of [her] emotional calm and peace of mind.’

She added that she was disturbed because their daughters, ‘are often alone’ with their father.

Childers continued in the request that she doesn’t want to, ‘run the risk’ of her children being with Emmett if, ‘federal law enforcement serve either an arrest or search warrant on him or on his premises.’

An FBI spokesperson told the Times they were, ‘unable to confirm or deny the existence of an investigation,’ due to FBI policy.

While Childers wouldn’t comment for the report, Emmett himself vehemently denied he was being investigated by the FBI.

‘(I am)Ā not being investigated by the FBI nor anyone else, and the notion that I am is beyond absurd,’ Emmett said in a statement.

‘There is zero evidence that Iā€™m being investigated for anything. I am shocked and in utter disbelief that Ambyr would even hint at something so disgusting and untrue,’ Emmett added.

Emmett, who shares joint legal custody of their children with Childers, contended that her claims were, ‘designed to hurt my career without any evidence whatsoever.’

However, after Childers filed the petition, the Times spoke with three other individuals who were also contacted by the FBI about Emmett, and provided them with information.

While Childers’ request for a temporary restraining order was granted, a hearing for her domestic violence restraining order will take place on January 12.

Emmett’s attorney Heather M. Patrick claimed that attorneys on both sides were working to, ‘globally resolving the unfounded allegation,’ though Childers’ attorney, Larry Bakman, disputed that.

‘The Court issued protective orders against Randall Emmett premised upon a prima facie showing of abuse. If Emmett contends she is lying, he should try the matter in a Court of Law rather than the media,’ Bakman said.Ā

Bakman added, ‘I can confirm that Emmettā€™s prior counsel has never once reached out to discuss settlement,’ and he was, ‘open to discussing settlement terms and conditions on behalf of my client.’

Emmett came under fire back in June when an investigation by the L.A. Times accused the producer of exchanged acting roles for sexual favors.

The investigation also added that he still owes various investors millions of dollars and that he forced assistants to engage in illegal behavior on his behalf, all of which Emmett denied.

Childers claimed in her latest court filing that Emmett was ‘physically and emotionally abusive’ while they were married.

She added that when he asked her to sign a post-nuptial financial agreement in 2015, and she refused, he got so upset and put his left hand on her neck, ‘squeezing with such force that [Childers] had difficulty breathing.’

Childers claimed that in 2016, when he brought up the proposed agreement again, Emmett, ‘again attempted to strangle’ Childers.

Emmettā€™s litigation attorney, Suann C. MacIsaac, said in another statement, ‘Mr. Emmett adamantly denies all of the allegations in Ms. Childerā€™s recent declaration.’Ā
