The MOBO Awards are an annual British music award presentation honouring achievements in ‘music of black origin’, including hip hop, grime, UK Drill, R&B, soul, reggae, jazz, gospel, and African music.
YouTubers turned TV presenters Chunkz and Yung Filly will be hosting this year’s show after both the stars won the MOBO best media personality award last year.

The MOBO Awards return for a 25th anniversary special this year and Knucks and Little Simz lead the way with five and four nods respectively.
The MOBO Awards, in association with Lucozade, also introduces two brand new categories this year – Best Alternative Music Act and Best Dance/Electronic Act.
Acclaimed London rapper and producer Knucks, 27, will no doubt be hoping to bag all five of the awards he’s nominated in, including Album of The Year, Best Male Act, and Best Hip Hop Act.
The Alpha House hitmaker has also been acknowledge twice in the Video of The Year category.

Meanwhile, a year after scooping the Best Female Act, Little Simz, 28, will be aiming to her continue her success thanks to her nominations in four categories – Album of The Year, Best Female Act, Best Hip Hop Act and Video of the Year.
Joining the singer with four nominations this year are rapper Central Cee, who’s been acknowledged in the Best Male Act, Best Drill Act, Song of the Year and Video of the Year categories.
Battling it out against Central Cee and Knucks in the Best Male Act category are Dave, D-Block Europe, Digga D and Tion Wayne.
While taking on Little Simz for Best Female Act are Mahalia, Miraa May, Ms Banks, PinkPantheress and Tiana Major9.

Elsewhere, Beyoncé, Drake and Kendrick Lamar are among the superstars batting it out for the Best International Act gong.
Not only are music stars vying for a prize, but TV and personalities too, with the likes of Daniel Kaluuya and Lashana Lynch nominated for Best Performance In A TV Show/Film.
While stars including Big Zuu, Mo Gilligan, KSI and Munya Chawawa are up for the Best Media Personality award.
Last year’s awards – hosted by Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Munya Chawawa in Coventry – saw artists like Skepta, Dave and Little Simz take home top awards.
Since its inaugural ceremony in 1996 at London’s Grand Connaught Rooms, the MOBO Awards has become a calendar staple in the UK and its iconic trophy now one of highest accolades in music.
Recognising its unique position in Black British popular culture, MOBO in recent years have also expanded beyond music to celebrate talent in the arts and media.
