Lisa Rinna calls getting booed at BravoCon a ‘highlight’ amid uncertain RHOBH future

Lisa Rinna called getting booed at BravoCon in New York City on Friday a ‘highlight.’ 

The 59-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star walked onstage at the three-day long convention to a chorus of boos from the audience. 

In response, she raised a middle finger toward the gathered crowd, totally unperturbed by the way the fans reacted to her.

She shared a photo of the event where she wore a vibrant orange pantsuit and walked hand-in-hand with Brad Goreski.  

The California native captioned the photo, ‘Highlight getting booed at Bravo Con! [hands raised emojis] @wwe here I come [laughing emoji].’ 

The crowd’s response to Rinna came days after it emerged she said that she would ‘get cancer’ if she didn’t expose Kathy Hilton’s ‘vile’ comments on the show’s finale.

The defiant star, who is no stranger to controversy, showed no signs of regret over her comment as she then smiled at the crowd and joined her co-stars.

Lisa, who caught the eye in a neon orange suit at the event, told DailyMail.com she ‘doesn’t know’ how to react to calls for her firing, before branding herself a ‘rockstar.’ 

She said: ‘We are the number one show on cable, and on television. And I’m a f*****g rockstar. That’s all I have to say.’ 

Lisa has been slammed by cancer survivors and doctors alike after she used the disease as an excuse to spill Kathy Hilton’s personal secrets.

Speaking to DailyMail.com at BravoCon, Kathy said she was considering whether to stay on the show in the aftermath of her clash with Lisa.

Kathy, 63, believes the drama started because Lisa was deliberately ‘poking the bear’ with the tequila, and Kathy felt that she was ‘being the bigger person’ by choosing to apologize on camera – only to be ‘accused of things I didn’t say.’

Saying things off-camera: But Rinna then explained that Hilton told her things off-camera about the other castmates that could ‘ruin their lives forever’ – and that holding them in was going to make her ‘sick’

In the final episode of season 12, which aired on October 5, Rinna was discussing a previous meltdown Kathy had during a trip they had taken to Aspen together, when Kyle Richards told her it was time to move on.

But Rinna then explained that Hilton told her things off-camera about the other castmates that could ‘ruin their lives forever’ – and that holding them in was going to make her ‘sick.’

‘I’m not gonna take it to my grave because I’d get sick and I’d get cancer if I didn’t express this,’ she said.

‘That’s how bad it is. To have these kinds of things go on and not express them, I’ll get sick and die because it’s that vile.’

Many of her costars were stunned by her statement; Diana Jenkins asked the camera privately, ‘Did she really say that?’ while Garcelle Beauvais added, ‘Oh my God it’s so dramatic.’

‘Won’t put me on pause’: ‘Well, [a departure] may happen, but you won’t put me on pause. It would be a mutual decision,’ she told Us Weekly at BravoCon. ‘You know what I mean? Like, you know, it, life happens. Whatever is meant to be, will be. And that’s how I always look at things’

All of this controversy surrounding Rinna comes as her future with the show is still up in the air. The mother-of-two hasn’t confirmed she’ll return to RHOBH next season. 

‘Well, [a departure] may happen, but you won’t put me on pause. It would be a mutual decision,’ she told Us Weekly at BravoCon. ‘You know what I mean? Like, you know, it, life happens. Whatever is meant to be, will be. And that’s how I always look at things.’ 

While she didn’t confirm anything about her future either way, Rinna did say she didn’t feel ‘peace’ after this most recent season. 

‘This is a hard season. I would, I don’t feel at peace after this season whether I came back or not. You know what I’m saying?’ Rinna said at the New York City event. ‘This was a very, very difficult season for everybody, but especially for me because of my mom. And I just had a really rough time, probably the roughest year of my life, you know? And that’s just the truth.’ 

The former soap opera star discussed how difficult the last year has been for her personally during the RHOBH ladies’ Javits Center panel at BravoCon Friday. 

‘I’m not gonna lie, it’s been rough. It’s probably been the roughest year of my life,’ she said. ‘These are people that I do care about and we get into conflicts that we don’t plan and it’s very, very hard.’
