Jackson White and Tell Me Lies co-star Grace Van Patten confirm dating while attending CFDA Awards

Jackson White has confirmed that he’s dating his Tell Me Lies co-star Grace Van Patten as they arrived together at the 2022 CFDA Awards in New York City.

The 26-year-old actor shared a strip of pictures of them from a photo booth at the event on his Instagram Stories that included a kissing snap with a peeking face emoji covering them up.

Grace, 25, also posed for pictures with Jackson as they held hands at the event.

Jackson posted a photo on Instagram on Tuesday that showed them in a together leaning in with their tongues sticking out.

He wrote in the caption for his roughy 61,000 followers: ‘if we kiss can we get a s2 @hulu’.

Tell Me Lies was released in September on Hulu and follows Jackson’s character Stephen DeMarco and Grace’s character Lucy Albright and their toxic relationship that starts while in college together.

Jackson is the son of actress Katey Sagal, 68, who also portrays his mother Norah in the Hulu series.

Tell Me Lies showrunner Meaghan Oppenheim said her own mother was ‘obsessed’ with ‘Married… with Children’ starring Katey and when it came time to cast the Stephen character’s mother, she had the idea for Katey to play the part and sought Jackson’s blessing.

Katey and Jackson are not the first parent and child actors to share scenes together. Other examples include Ryan and Tatum O’Neal in the 1973 film ‘Paper Moon,’ Will and Jaden Smith in ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’ in 2006 and Donald and Kiefer Sutherland in the 2016 movie ‘Forsaken.’

Grace is the daughter of actor and director Tim Van Patten, 63, and the niece of the late actor Dick Van Patten who died in 2015 at age 86.

She previously starred in the 2021 Hulu drama miniseries Nine Perfect Strangers that also starred Nicole Kidman, Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans and Samara Weaving.

Tell Me Lies is based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Carola Lovering.

Emma Roberts’ Belletrist book club co-founder, Karah Preiss, read ‘Tell Me Lies’ first, recommended it to Emma and they are both executive producers after bringing it to Hulu along with Meaghan.
