Carey Mulligan was the picture of glamour on Friday as she lead the arrivals at the premiere of her new film She Said, held at the Royal Festival Hall in London’s Southbank Centre.
The actress, 37, looked sensational in a strapless black gown which had a striking bright pink panel as she greeted the crowd at the event amid theĀ BFI London Film Festival.Ā
Carey oozed confidence in the plunging dress by Giorgio Armani, as she larked around for the cameras before posing up a storm.
The film follows the female New York Times reporters (played by Mulligan and co-star Zoe Kazan) who tookĀ on Hollywood producer and convicted sex abuser Harvey Weinstein, which led to the #MeToo movement in 2018.Ā Ā Ā

The Maria Schrader-directed feature follows NYT journalists Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey, who published a report about Weinstein, 70, in October 2017 that detailed decades of sexual abuse by the Hollywood heavyweight ushering in the #MeToo movement.
The New York Times and The New Yorker were awarded the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service for their coverage of Weinstein.
Schrader famously directed and won a Primetime Emmy for her work on the 2020 Netflix miniseries Unorthodox.

Brad Pitt, who confronted Weinstein after his then-girlfriendĀ Gwyneth Paltrow accused the producer of coming onto her, serves as one of the film’s producers.
‘At that moment, I was just a boy from the Ozarks on the playground and that’s how we confronted things,’ he recalled of his tense one-on-one with Weinstein to CNN.

The ruling was issued by a five-judge panel in the state’s intermediate appeals court.
The bombshell decision affirmed the milestone verdict in America’s reckoning with sexual misconduct by powerful figures – an era that began with a flood of allegations against Weinstein.
Weinstein is currently serving a 23-year prison sentence in a California prison and is awaiting trial on charges he assaulted five women in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills from 2004 to 2013.
The trial is set to begin on October 24 and is expected to last several months.
