DOI’s Darren Harriott details gruesome injuries as he reveals he’s had his arm sliced open by blade, has a ‘hip bone sticking out’ and whiplash – and is yet to do his first live show!

Dancing On Ice‘s Darren Harriott has detailed his list of gruesome injuries he has suffered in rehearsals.

The comedian, 34, will take to the rink on Sunday night in the second batch of six celebrities – and by the sounds of it, he has already been through the wars.

Appearing on Capital XTRA Breakfast, Darren revealed he had to be glued together after having his arm sliced open by the blade of his partner Tippy Packard’s skates on Monday.

Nasty injury: Dancing On Ice’s Darren Harriott had to seek medical help after his arm was sliced open by the blade of his partner’s skates

Going on to reveal the extent of the injuries he has had since beginning training, Darren added he has a ‘hip bone sticking out’ and also has whiplash.

When asked by Shayna Marie what his biggest fear was, Darren replied: ‘My biggest fear, I don’t really have it anymore, all my fears are now sort of gone, because I’ve fallen on the ice countless times, I’ve got whiplash, yesterday I sliced my arm open with my partners blade, they had to glue my forearm together.

‘What other fears are there! Maybe I fall through the ice? That’s all that’s left. Whiplash, there’s a bit of bone sticking out here.’

‘I’m telling you this show is wild dude, you’ve got to watch the show on Sunday.’

Darren showed off his bandaged arm on Instagram earlier this week and revealed he had got the nasty injury while practicing a lift.

The comic revealed he had only noticed he was hurt after seeing blood pour out of his arm and onto the rink.

He wrote: ‘Tippy’s blade sliced my arm open during a lift… we think. We don’t even know how it happened. I didn’t feel it… we just saw the blood lol.’

The comic added: ‘Still all good for Sunday!’

Darren is set to take to the rink this Sunday for the first time, where the second group of the remaining six celebrities will do their best to not be in the dreaded skate off – where they will face Ekin-Su.

The Love Island beauty could face eviction after she scored a total vote of 21.5, as Ashley gave her a 5.5, Oti scored her a 6, Jayne and Chris both a 5.

Ekin-Su was stunned when she landed in the skate off and turned to talk with her dance partner Brendyn, while her boyfriend Davide was equally as unhappy while he watched from the audience.

The TV star recreated her notorious villa crawl during the routine -which host Holly Willoughby described as the show’s ‘sexiest ever skate’.

Ekin-Su also faced a backlash with viewers complaining about her racy costume with one claiming it was ‘not appropriate’ before the watershed.

The Love Island star admitted that she was ‘sad’ with the news, as presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly questioned her after the result and attempted to reassure her.

‘I’m just sad, but, you know. I’ve been really ill as well and I know it’s not an excuse but I’ve just got back up, and yeah,’ said Ekin-Su.

Listen to Capital XTRA Breakfast with Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie weekdays from 6:30am – 10am across the UK and on Global Player. Dancing On Ice continues on Sunday on ITV and ITVX at 6.30pm.
