Bizarre moment drunk-driving suspect performed a BACKFLIP during a police sobriety test

This is the bizarre moment a drunk-driving suspect did a backflip to convince police he was sober, before arguing with the office about his definition of a straight line. 

Tanner Watson, 27, was pulled over by the Broadview Heights Police Department in Ohio on November 23 for speeding. 

When officers approached the window, they said they smelled a strong scent of alcohol coming from the four occupants and that Watson had made an awkward stop when he pulled over. 

Watson – who admitted to drinking three or four beers – was pulled from the car to do a field sobriety test, where he impressed the officer by doing a backflip after he failed a horizontal gaze test.

Despite doing the difficult move, he was told he still had to walk in a straight line and began to argue with the officer about what his definition of a straight line was, which prompted the officer to arrest him 

‘Your driving’s pretty bad, your eyes are super glossy. I can smell booze coming from you, so I want to run some sobriety tests on you,’ the unidentified officer said. 

After showing six clues of impairment during the gaze test, according to Cleveland 19, the officer instructs Watson to walk in a straight line. 

Moments later, the young man performs a backflip, causing the officer to laugh. 

‘That’s good, man,’ the officer said. ‘I can’t do that, I’ll tell you that.’ 

Despite his Olympic-level move, Watson was still told he had to walk in a straight line, to which the allegedly drunk man asked: ‘I’m asking you, what do you want me to do as a straight line?’ 

Watson’s confusion as to what a straight line is prompts the officer to ask him if he’s ‘had any psychedelic drugs today, man?’ 

Watson tells the officer ‘no,’ and then becomes argumentative, telling the officer: ‘To me, I picture a straight line compared to your straight line, it would be obscured.’ 

The officer then asked the man to put his hands behind his back and arrests him for an OVI and is cited for speeding. 

Watson goes on to ask the officer if he has ‘any proof’ that he’s drunk, and the officer replied: ‘Tanner, you can’t even tell me what a straight line is.’ 

Watson later said he was ‘disappointed’ he couldn’t convince the officer he was sober, according to WKRG. 

Watson was arraigned on Thursday for an OVI charge and has been freed on bond.  

He also asked officers what ‘proof’ they had that he was drunk. The young man also owned up to drinking three or four beers
