British Fashion Awards 2022: Stars descend on Royal Albert Hall

The 2022 British Fashion Awards saw stars descending on London’s Royal Albert Hall on Monday, with celebrities including Rita Ora, Lily James, Florence Pugh and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley leading the red carpet.

Never one to shy away from a daring outfit, the singer left little to the imagination in a sheer red stocking dress over matching lingerie with bats wings eye makeup.

The British Fashion Awards, one of the most anticipated moments of the global fashion calendar, celebrates fashion at the intersection of culture and is a global entertainment platform for brands, creatives, designers, artists and tastemakers who come together to celebrate the industry. 

Leaving little to the imagination, Rita displayed every inch of her incredible figure by donning a sheer slip that was placed slightly under her matching underwear.

The Hot Right Now hitmaker’s outfit included the plunging matching bra and skimpy tie bottoms, though Rita’s boldest accessory was her unusual bat wings makeup.

The star had stick-on pieces placed around her eyes that added a bold twist to her outfit, as she strutted her stuff on the red carpet. 

Meanwhile, Lily exuded the perfect Hollywood beauty in a jaw-dropping white gown with a dramatic frilled bodice and a matching mermaid skirt.

The Pam And Tommy star swept her brunette tresses into a sleek up-do, with her gown also boasted a sheer skirt adorned with intricate diamante detailing.

Finishing her outfit with matching silver drop earrings, Lily’s revealing outfit showcased every inch of her incredible figure. 

Ever the stunning starlet, Florence was clad in a jaw-dropping backless red gown with a busty curved necline with a revealing back, flowing into a huge princess skirt.

The Oscar nominee was accompanied by Italian designer Pier Paolo Piccioli as she stole the attention of onlookers upon arriving for the event.

Adding to her look with a statement dark red lip, Florence kept her blonde bobbed tresses in a slicked-back style as she showed off her latest glamorous red carpet look.

Displaying her sophisticated fashion sense, Rosie donned a form-fitting black leather top with a high crew neck and long sleeves, layered over a full-length black skirt.

The mother-of-two slicked her blonde tresses into a sleek up-do, and accessorised with a matching clutch bag and oversized earrings.

Tucking her hands into her pockets, Rosie cut a relaxed figure, no doubt much warmer than some of the other stars in attendance, as she made her way along the red carpet. 

Meanwhile Maya put on an edgy display in a bold black gown with a matching wide-brimmed hat as she made her grand arrival for the grand occasion. 

Cutting a confident figure, Maya posed up a storm in her busty black gown with a revealing torso cut-out, teamed with a slanted straw hat with a wide brim.

Every inch the fashionista, the soon-to-be host of Love Island teamed her sexy dress with a black and white jewelled collar necklace and matching earrings.

Maya finished her ensemble with black stiletto heels as she showed off her figure in the revealing black dress.

Irina Shayk channelled her inner disco diva as she slipped into an eye-catching brown sequinned dress with a peplum detailing, teamed with brown flat shoes.

Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden showcased her daring sense of style in a racy red PVC gown as she posed up a storm on the red carpet, accompanied by her daughter Lexi, 16.

Slicking her blonde tresses into a voluminous style, Amanda was hard to miss in her off-the-shoulder gown as she posed at the awards event.

Showcasing her svelte physique, Amanda posed up a storm in her bold red gown made of a shiny PVC material, with an off-the-shoulder neckline and a tiny thin-strapped undershirt.

The Heart FM presenter’s dress flowing into a train that perfectly matched the scarlet carpet, and she looked every inch the proud mother as she posed with her daughter.

Lexi was dressed in a black gown with lace bodice and a ruffled skirt, accessorising with thin-strapped heels as she attended the red carpet with her proud mother Amanda. 

Liam Payne and his new girlfriend Kate Cassidy made their red carpet debut, with the singer, 29, looking suave in a black suit while the British-American influencer, 23, flashed her underboob in a racy black dress with midriff cutouts and a thigh-split. 

It’s understood that Kate is an American citizen of British heritage, through her father, and is close friends with model Chantel Jeffries. 

Based in New Jersey on America’s east coast, she was educated at North Carolina’s 252-year old College of Charleston, the 13th oldest institute of learning in the United States. 

An insider told The Sun: ‘They are mad about each other. Kate is a wild girl so Liam is definitely in for a fun ride. She is always out in nightclubs and seems to be loving London.’ 

Elizabeth Debicki exuded elegance in a crisp white shirt with shoulder pads, leaving most of the buttons undone to create a plunging neckline.

She gave a glimpse of her cleavage in the shirt choice, and added a long pendant necklace to accessorise.

Elizabeth slipped her slender pins into a pair of high-waisted black tapered trousers, which perfectly matched the top half in a monochromatic look.

Prior to their first appearance on Tuesday evening in London, Liam was believed to be single after Texan model Maya Henry broke off their engagement in April. 

Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn displayed her own eye-popping figure in a skintight black satin gown with a form-fitting bodice and flowing skirt. 

Bridgerton star Simone Ashley was a far cry from her period alter-ego, as she donned a futuristic silver hooded gown laden with sequins. 

Ellie Bamber looked sensational as she gave a glimpse at her midriff as she wore an ivory pearl embellished cropped corset.

She opted for a custom ivory satin skirt to match, with both items being from the Vivienne Westwood Couture collection.

Rochelle Humes opted for a more unusual ensemble, donning a white mini dress with enormous buttons and furry sleeves, teamed with a sparkly silver chained skirt.

The mother-of-three teamed the tiny dress with black opaque tights and heels, certainly catching the attention of onlookers as she made her entrance. 

Showing off her newly-shortened bobbed tresses, Rochelle’s hair was finished with a wet-look style. 

Making her debut at the Fashion Awards, Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu showed off her own eye-popping cleavage in a jaw-dropping nude gown, with just a floral diamante design, and a pale pink fur wrap, preserving her modesty.

The Turkish actress’ dress included a revealing thigh-high split, and she completed her outfit with sparkling silver pointed-toe heels.

Joining Ekin-Su for the evening was her dapper boyfriend Davide Sanclimente who donned a silver metallic tuxedo as he joined his stunning girlfriend for the evening. 

Elsa Hosk put on a sizzling display as she flashed her washboard abs, and flaunted her figure in a tiny white embellished bralette teamed with a matching maxi skirt as she graced the red carpet/

The Swedish beauty also showed off her legs in the thigh-split skirt which she teamed with barely-there silver metallic heels.

Lady Amelia Windsor slipped into a plunging black satin dress with a delicate striped overlay as she posed solo at the star-studded event. 

The socialite swept her brunette tresses into a simple up-do with curled pieces to frame her pretty face, and completed her look with a simple chain-strap clutch bag. 

Singer Raye showed off her incredible figure in a dramatic black velvet gown with eye-catching shoulder detailing, showing off her toned pins through the gown’s dramatic thigh-high split.

The 2022 Fashion Awards returned to the iconic London venue The Royal Albert Hall on December 5.

The event, one of the most anticipated moments of the global fashion calendar, celebrates fashion at the intersection of culture and is a global entertainment platform for brands, creatives, designers, artists and tastemakers who come together to celebrate the industry. 

The Awards is a fundraiser for the BFC Foundation (British Fashion Council) and focuses on celebrating excellence in the fashion industry and supporting the future pipeline of creative talent. 

The ceremony was first established in 1989 in a bid to spotlight those making impressive contributions to the industry. 

The Model of the Year award recognises the global impact of a model who over the last 12 months has dominated the industry, with an influence that transcends the catwalk.

The nominees are Adut Akech, Bella Hadid, Lila Moss, Paloma Elsesser and Quannah Chasinghorse. 

Nominees for Designer of the Year are Demna for Balenciaga, Jonathan Anderson for JW Anderson and Loewe, Matthieu Blazy for Bottega Veneta, Miuccia Prada and Pierpaolo Piccioli for Valentino.

In the running for the Independent British Brand Award is Bianca Saunders, Erdem, JW Anderson, Molly Goddard and Wales Bonner.

Nominees for the BFC Foundation Award are Ahluwalia, Chopova Lowena, Nensi Dojaka, S.S.Daley and Wales Bonner.

Burberry will be awarded for its significant innovation and experimentation within the Metaverse World in the past 12 months and for pushing the boundaries to showcase excellence in this space.
