Dr Chris Brown’s co-star reveals why he REALLY jumped from Channel 10’s ‘sinking ship’ – as his massive new salary with rival network is revealed
Dr Chris Brown’s Channel Ten co-star Amanda Kellar has revealed why he really jumped ship to rival network Seven.
Kellar, who starred on The Living Room with Brown for a decade, said Ten was only giving him a month of work in the coming year.
‘In terms of television he’s doing I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, which pretty much goes for a month, and then he has 11 months where he’s looking for a TV project,’ she said on her radio show WSFM’s Jonesy & Amanda.

She went on to say Brown still has his vet surgery and often worked there, but wanted more television gigs and Channel 10 just didn’t have them.
Her radio co-host Brendan ‘Jonesy’ Jones then joked: ‘What’s he meant to do, he can’t be squeezing anal glands the whole time?’
‘Well that’s what he did for the negotiations,’ Keller replied.
‘He’s got ideas for his own programs and Channel Seven have said come and do it over here and all power to him.
‘Why would Chris not jump somewhere where he’s offered a variety of work for a year?’
According to news.com.au, Brown has signed a two-year contract with Seven worth more than $1million a year.
He will officially join the network in July following his contractual obligations for I’m A Celebrity this year and is expected to produce ‘new projects’ across the network.
Brown said in a statement: ‘I’m not entirely sure my old access pass works, but once we get over that hurdle and I’m back from the jungle, I can’t wait to sink my teeth into some exciting new projects in the second half of the year and beyond with Seven.’

James Warburton, Seven West Media’s managing director and CEO, added: ‘We are very pleased to welcome Chris back to Seven. It’s been too long.
‘Chris is one of the most popular and recognised people on Australian TV, bringing warmth, intelligence and a great sense of humour to everything he does.
‘We can’t wait to have him on board and to announce the great new content he will star in.’
