British singer and heartthrob Harry Styles wowed Australian crowds over the weekend when he helped a young fan come out to her family.

During his first show in Sydney, Australia, on Friday night the 29-year-old paused the Love On Tour concert momentarily after reading a placard held up by a 17-year-old girl in the front row at Accor Stadium.

Asal, who was holding the sign, had written the words: ‘My family is all here, help me come out’.

Harry paused mid-song to read out her request to the sold out arena before acknowledging that the city was celebrating pride at the moment.

‘Can I please get some sparkling coming out music, Harry asked his band members positioned behind him on the stage.

‘What kind of tempo do we want Asal?’ He questioned. ‘In the middle, a mid-tempo.’

The international star and ex One Direction member then picked up a rainbow flag from the stage and announced that when it dropped Asal would be ‘out’.

‘Freedom. Let it rain down upon you like a big gay shower. Congratulations,’ he said.

Asal, who goes by the username @teasemetheband on TikTok, shared footage from the moment as her supporters congratulated her in the comments section below.

‘This was so fun to watch. I’m so happy for you,’ one stranger wrote.

‘Ahhhh babes your father and your family were sitting behind us and it was seriously so beautiful. I’m so happy for you gorgeous,’ said another.

A third added: ‘That was the greatest moment. I hope you are so proud’.

Harry did the same thing for a fan in Melbourne, stopping mid-show to chat with the fan, who was named Fauve.

Although there wasn’t much of a secret left after he addressed her and her mother, who was standing next to her, as well as her father, who was in a different section, Harry still performed a quick song-and-dance number to celebrate the fan coming out.

Harry was dressed vibrantly for the show with a pink-and-orange striped shirt decorated with sequins, along with a contrasting white collar.

He complemented the shirt with a pair of hot pink leather pants.

While addressing the fan, Harry said he had never heard the name ‘Fauve’ before, though she or her mother shouted back that it was a ‘French name’.

‘Very sophisticated!’ he replied, before sharing her sign with the rest of the massive audience.

‘Fauve’s sign says, “Help me come out. My mum’s next to me, and dad is level 2, section 41,” he read.

‘I feel like I could help,’ Harry added modestly, adding, ‘I feel like she might know’ in response to Fauve’s smother Lisa.

‘I mean, I’ve just said it and it’s on the screen.’

‘This is the first time we’re taking this Down Under, so prepare yourselves,’ he said. ‘Everything’s gonna be upside down!’

Then Harry’s band supplied him with some ‘coming-out music,’ which turned out to be a funky disco-inflected groove.

‘Are you happy with the music? This suits the occasion?’ he said as he checked in with Fauve.

‘Let’s go! Let’s go! Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go!’ he shouted out to the rhythm of the music while raising his hands to pump up the audience before he turned around and gyrated on stage at the climactic moment.

‘Fauve is out!’ he said at the conclusion of the short number. ‘It’s done!’ he added as he pumped his fist triumphantly.

‘You rise to the heavens of freedom, Fauve!’ he shouted after the display. ‘Enjoy yourself!’

Harry Styles will now take his whirlwind tour to Auckland on March 7.
