Ezra Miller has appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to stealing three bottles of alcohol from their neighbor’s property in Vermont.

The troubled Flash star appeared remotely at the hearing at Vermont Superior Court, and was told to stay away from neighbor Isaac Winokur.

Miller, 30, faces 26 years in prison if they are found guilty of the charges, as well as more than $2,000 in fines.

They are accused of taking a bottle of gin, vodka and rum from Winokur’s pantry on May 1 at around 5pm.

The casually-dress actor spoke only to confirm that they understood the conditions of their bail, including a ban on contacting Winokur and Aiden Early, another Vermont resident.

Vermont Police charged Miller with felony burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, with the actor claiming they were in the house to look for ingredients for a recipe for their mother.

They were also charged with petty larceny over the three stolen booze bottles, with the charges the latest in a series of legal woes for the actor.

The Fantastic Beasts star was hauled into a meeting with Warner Bros bosses as his ongoing public issues threaten to put the already delayed $250million movie in jeopardy.

Miller and their agent Scott Metzger reportedly met with Warner Bros film chairs on August 24 to discuss how they could ‘stay on course’ for the release date of the Flash in June next year.

During the meeting they are also understood to have ‘reaffirmed their commitment to the movie’ as well as ‘apologize for bringing negative attention’ to the production and company.

Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Miller only agreed to seek help after learning that there was a possibility that the film’s release would be cancelled.

Miller has also been surrounded by allegations of grooming, after the parents of Tokota Iron Eyes, a Native American activist, 18, filed a protection order against the actor.

It was granted after the judge found the child faced ‘substantial likelihood of immediate danger of harassment.’

In August Miller announced that they were seeking treatment for ‘complex mental health issues’, after Hollywood bosses were forced to reconsider their future in the DC’s cinematic universe.

They said in a statement: ‘Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment’
