It’s time to dust off your cowboy boots and pour yourself a glass of rye whisky as the popular Western drama Yellowstone is back for a new series tomorrow, November 13.Â
The season four finale last year drew in 11 million viewers and if you want to catch the premiere of this season to find out what happens next then there are a few options.
One is to take out a cable subscription that includes the Paramount Network, which will air it live, but you might find that a cheaper alternative is to trial a live TV cable-alternative service like Philo.
If you’re tired of paying a big cable bill each month, you could save a bunch of money by cutting the cord and subscribing to Philo.
For just $25 per month, you can watch more than 60 live channels, including Paramount that is the exclusive broadcaster of Yellowstone.
Catch live episodes first every Sunday night, starting November 13.
Family business: Pictured left to right – Beth Dutton (played by Kelly Reilly), John Dutton (Kevin Costner), Monica Long (Kelsey Asbille) and Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley). Front row – Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser)
Take out a seven-day free Philo trial now and you’ll not only have access to the first episode of Yellowstone when it airs live tomorrow, but you can recap on the whole of Season 4 to catch up on where the last episodes left off.
Starring Oscar and Emmy award winner Kevin Costner as John Dutton, the patriarch of a powerful, complicated family of ranchers who controls the largest ranch in the United States, the new season promises to be full of drama and conflict to keep you on the edge of your seat.
An advantage of watching it on Philo is that you can fast-forward through the commercials so not to ruin the momentum of the show. Simply navigate to the Yellowstone profile page on Philo, hit save (+) and the new and upcoming past episodes of Yellowstone, will be recorded to your 1-Year Unlimited DVR.
Control: The Kevin Costner-led series directed and mostly written by Taylor Sheridan starts season five with Costner’s character in charge of most of Montana
According to series teasers, we’ll see John Dutton cancel anything that threatens his peace, no matter what contracts he breaks or people he angers. And that conflict means the stakes are raised in power struggles and control of the land.
Season Five’s first episode is titled One Hundred Years Means Nothing, lasts 64 minutes, starts with John Dutton looking and feeling uneasy in his mansion and ends on a huge cliffhanger that will have you counting down the days until episode two.
There are seven episodes in the first part of Season Five, which will drop weekly on Philo every Sunday evening.Â
The drama series – which has been dubbed ‘anti-woke’ by some critics – was finally recognized by the SAG Awards earlier this year, after it got a nomination for Outstanding Performance.Â
Not politically correct: Yellowstone was dubbed ‘anti woke’ after it premiered on Paramount+ due to its focus on a land-owning white man in rural AmericaÂ
It features an all star cast with actors Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, and Wes Bentley in main roles.Â
As Wes Bentley’s character Jamie killed his biological father in the last episode of Season Four, this season promises to be a wild ride for him.
You can find out exactly what happens on November 13 at 20.00 Eastern Time, as long as you have Philo or a cable service that includes Paramount. For the commercial-free option, Philo is the way forward.
