A group of migrants were caught trying to break into a woman’s Texas ranch house before getting into her neighbor’s home just 50 miles over the US-Mexico border.
Shocking security footage shared by Fox News‘ Bill Melugin shows the moment the group of immigrants began kicking at the door of the home in Edwards County.
As members of the group try to pry open the windows, to no avail, one of them grabs what appears to be a 2×4 plank of wood and starts banging it against the door.
However it would not budge since the homeowner latched her front door’s deadbolt to its steel frame.
The woman told Melugin that after they failed to get into her house, which she has spent $13,000 upgrading after previous break in attempts, they successfully entered her neighbor’s home, but fled by the time Border Patrol responded.
The tense situation comes as waves of migrants continue to arrive at the border, with a gaping hole discovered along the wall near El Paso for asylum seekers to sneak through.

As thousands of migrants have made their way to and through the border this year out of fear that Title 42 would end, Texas has seen an influx of some migrants killing local pets, stealing from shops, and knocking on doors late at night.
One resident in Eagle Pass said she has now taught her children to use tasers and other weapons to defend their family business.
‘It’s something that has had to be done because we don’t know what can happen,’ Laura Ramos told Fox News. ‘We don’t know these people or where they come from.’
Another resident said his youngest sister heard a knock on her bedroom window late at night.
‘It’s pretty scary,’ he said. ‘We’re getting used to it already because unfortunately, nothing is really being done.’
An Eagle Pass business owner said she now closes her business at 7pm because she employs a staff comprised entirely of women.
‘We now close at seven because it gets dark, people are walking around, all girls, you just never know,’ she said.
She added that she now keeps ‘several weapons’ in the store to defend her employees.
It’s thought many have come to the border for the announcement that Title 42 would be canned – making it easier for the people to remain in the US after crossing.

The figure is the highest number of illegal border crossings ever recorded for November.

A gaping hole cut into the border fence between Mexico and the US reveals the ease with which migrants can cross the border illegally – regardless of the strict Title 42 rules
Amid chaos in the border, the Supreme Court decided to maintain Title 42 into 2023 in a last-minute ruling on Tuesday. The decision leaves thousands of migrants who must now attempt to cross and face the prospect of almost immediate deportation – or risk illegal entry into the country.
Justice Neil Gorsuch joined the more liberal justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson to vote against keeping it in place.
A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson said: ‘As required by today’s Supreme Court order, the Title 42 public health order will remain in effect and individuals who attempt to enter the United States unlawfully will continue to be expelled to Mexico or their home country.
‘People should not listen to the lies of smugglers who take advantage of vulnerable migrants, putting lives at risk. The border is not open, and we will continue to fully enforce our immigration laws.
‘We will continue to manage the border, but we do so within the constraints of a decades-old immigration system that everyone agrees is broken. We need Congress to pass the comprehensive immigration reform legislation President Biden proposed the day he took office.’
States led by Republican attorneys general of Arizona and Louisiana filed an emergency request last week after the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit turned down their request to intervene in the case to argue against its end.

A huge ‘tent city’ for migrants entering the US from Mexico is currently under construction on the fringes of El Paso as officials scramble to prepare for a surge in crossings.
The massive processing facility, which covers an area the size of several football fields, is being built in a patch of desert about 20 miles northeast of downtown El Paso.
Trucks carrying equipment and machinery have been making regular deliveries to the site in recent days.
Security guards told DailyMail.com the facility could be in place for ‘a few weeks or six months, we don’t know’ – and it won’t be ready to use until around January 10.
Workmen on Tuesday morning were completing the main, soft-side tent which runs the length of around two football fields. Other tents were also under construction around the main structure.
The speed and scale of the operation reveals the massive steps border patrol authorities are taking to prevent chaos when Title 42 does eventually end.
Several more of the facilities could also be constructed around El Paso in the coming days and weeks.
The shelters would serve as much-needed relieve for the facilities in Texas, which have already been pushed to the brim as Republicans and Democrats lash out over the latest busing out of migrants to Vice President Kamala Harris’ home.

Three busloads of migrants from the U.S.-Mexico border were dropped off outside One Naval Observatory in 14-degree weather on Christmas Eve, many whom were only wearing t-shirts. Some were given blankets and placed on another bus to a local church.
White House assistant press secretary Abdullah Hasan condemned the action by Texas Gov. Gregg Abbott, saying: ‘Governor Abbott abandoned children on the side of the road in below freezing temperatures on Christmas Eve without coordinating with any Federal or local authorities.’
‘This was a cruel, dangerous, and shameful stunt.’
‘These political games accomplish nothing and only put lives in danger,’ Hasan said, saying the Biden administration is ‘willing to work with anyone – Republican or Democrat alike – on real solutions.’
Democratic Rep. Joaquin Castro did not mince words in calling the governor of his home state a ‘heartless POS.’
‘Guess we know how Greg Abbott, a ‘practicing’ Roman Catholic, would have treated Jesus, Mary & Joseph,’ Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., chimed in.
Abbott’s office, however, hit back against the criticism and dubbed the Biden administration hypocrites.
Renae Eze, a spokesperson for Abbott, has repeatedly insisted that migrants willingly chose to be transported to destinations detailed on a waiver that they voluntarily signed upon boarding.
‘The Biden Administration has been flying migrants all around the country and oftentimes in the cover of night, or dumping migrants in Texas border communities that are already overrun and overwhelmed by the historic influx of illegal immigration,’ Eze told DailyMail.com of the hypocrisy from Biden.
