This was the start of the newlyweds downfall as while they were waiting to board a flight for their honeymoon in the Whitsundays, Jesse made Claire cry by telling her to ‘shush’.

Speaking to Today Extra about the ordeal, Claire said: ‘We were at the airport getting ready to go on our honeymoon and I think I was being loud, and myself, we were having a good time, and I was told to use my indoor voice, to shush, to keep it down, and it hurt my feelings.

‘I have never been told to put a lid on it, to stop talking, so it made me feel like I wasn’t being valued… I was excited, I just got married and I was embarking on this journey and I had so much to say and talk about.’

Claire added she got very upset at the time and began to ‘second guess’ everything she was saying, and how she said it.

In the episode, Jesse complained to producers that Claire seemed ‘unaware of how loud she’s speaking’ and that he needed some ‘silence’.
