Rachel is expecting her first child and her co-stars explained she would be raising the baby on her own.Â
‘It’s time for me to go… I’ve sat at this desk every single week for the last six years… Oh, my God! There’s fuss. I hate fuss,’ she said emotionally.Â
‘Thank you, though. That’s lovely. But it’s so weird to be leaving and to also have no idea who I’m gonna be on the other side of this because it’s the biggest thing and the thing that you can have no measure for,’ she continued, breaking down.Â
‘What if I’m miserable? What if I hate it, if I made a terrible mistake? I’m going to cry,’ she said, breaking downÂ

The team sent her off using exploding glitter cannons, with confetti raining down from the ceiling.    Â
It follows the mass departure of stars Carrie Bickmore, Lisa Wilkinson and Peter Helliar from the troubled show.  Â
Tommy Little was also quietly removed as a regular panellist.Â

The stand-up comic is no longer an ‘official’ cast member but will appear on the show sporadically, according to TV Blackbox.Â
New stars Sam Taunton and Michael Hing have joined the show for 2023, alongside Sarah Harris and existing panelists Waleed Aly and Hamish Macdonald.Â
Georgie Tunny, who has already been a regular fixture on the current affairs show, also appears on the new season.Â
