The mother-of-two, 50, put on a chic display in an off-the-shoulder dress as she attended the Macael Awards, which were created in 1985 with the aim of recognising professionals who have excelled in the fields of architecture, craft and design. 

Looking typically stylish, the royal teamed her black midi dress with nude heels, that featured straps covered in shimmering gems.

She wore her chestnut tresses down in loose waves and smiled for photos with the visitors. 

Elsewhere her husband looked dapper as he welcomed the President on his state visit in a sleek black suit and periwinkle tie.
