Patti LaBelle is whisked off stage by security following ‘bomb threat’ at concert venue

Patti LaBelle was taken off stage by security mid-show after a reported ‘bomb threat’ was made at the Riverside theater in Milwaukee where she was performing on Friday night.

In a video shared by a concertgoer, the legendary singer, 78, is seen speaking to the crowd just moments before two security guards stormed the stage and physically removed her.

According to an alleged statement made by Milwaukee PD, the audience was ‘safely evacuated’ from the venue and the investigation is ‘fluid and ongoing.’ 

Officers are ‘clearing the facility at this time.’

The unnerving clips starts off calm with LaBelle speaking to a fan in the audience while carrying a rose bouquet.

She has her back turned away from stage left as two security guards clad in all-black suits grab ahold of her from behind.

LaBelle says to the men, ‘Wait, hold up!’ before one of them whispers something to her that quickly changes the singer’s demeanor from laidback to panicked.

LaBelle then drops the bouquet from her hands and shakily tries to put her microphone back on the mic stand, a job that’s taken over by a security member that emerges from stage right.

Two other security members place their hands behind LaBelle’s back and work together to get her out of sight.

The singer’s band swiftly abandon their stations to follow behind LaBelle and her security team.

This sets the crowd in total uproar, with many screaming loudly towards the stage and others expressing confusion to one another just before the video ends.
