‘We have a set budget for our grocery shopping and I customise my plan around that budget. I do a lot of repeat meals also. We save over $100 a week doing this. We have saved enough money for a weekend get away.’
Her favourite meals to make are stovetop lasagna, pesto penne, vegetarian chilli, satay chicken and rice and peanut butter granola.
When she’s looking for a snack Louise opts for choc mint bubble crunch, healthy chocolate Weet-Bix slice, banana pikelets and banana bread.

In just over a year Louise’s method saw her drop five dress sizes and go from a size 18 to a size 8.Â
Her goal weight was 55kg but she now weighs 53.7kg.Â
‘I didn’t want that for myself or my kids,’ she explained.
‘My new lifestyle has had such a positive impact on my health.’
