Married At First Sight’s controversial groom Harrison Boon DUMPS wife Bronte Schofield over text because he ‘can’t trust’ her anymore

Harrison Boon did a shocking backflip on his relationship with ‘wife’ Bronte Schofield ahead of the dinner party this week when he dumped her over text.

Despite appearing united at the couples’ retreat, it appeared Melinda Willis’ accusations their relationship was ‘fake’ shook the builder, 32, to his core.

In Wednesday night’s episode, it was revealed Harrison and Bronte, 28, had a blow-up when he attempted to get ‘reassurance’, and it ended in a cowardly breakup text.

Speaking with the producers, Bronte said: ‘He wanted to speak to me about our future saying he wanted reassurance. I don’t know how much more reassurance I could have given him.

‘I go, “I want a family, I want a marriage and I’m willing to move.” That’s not enough for him. So fine. I said, “Do you want me to go home?” He stormed out, texted me and said he can’t trust me, this relationship is done.’

However, Harrison gave a different story of events, tweaking a few details during his own emotional chat with the producers.

He said he felt shaken by Melinda’s, 32, claims everyone thought Harrison and Bronte’s relationship wasn’t genuine.

‘I kind of just wanted a bit more clarity around where Bronte was at, how she feels, and about whether or not we would continue after the experiment,’ he said.

He continued: ‘Bronte got upset and said, “I want to go home.” For me, that was the moment that ended our relationship.’

It comes after Bronte was left in tears during Monday night’s episode when her co-stars accused Harrison of ’emotionally manipulating’ her.

The bubbly brunette was embroiled in tense scenes at the NSW Southern Highlands retreat where Claire Nomarhas gave her a stern warning.

Claire, 31, accused Harrison of trying to ’emotionally manipulate’ her with Bronte hitting back saying the other brides were just jealous.

Married At First Sight continues Sunday at 7pm on Channel Nine
