A London bus has crashed into motorcyclist ‘leaving at least two injured’ in a rush hour collision in the north east of the city.

Emergency crews including police, ambulance staff and firefighters are at the scene in Stamford Hill, north east London, following a crash between a bus and motorcyclist just after 5pm. 

It happened at the junction of Amhurst Park and Stamford Hill on the A10, with the road closed as emergency workers respond to the incident.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police told MailOnline that ‘at least two’ have been injured in the Hallowe’en crash.

They added: ‘Officers are at the scene along with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance. Road closures are in place and drivers are urged to find an alternative route.’

The Mayor of Hackney, Philip Glanville, said on Twitter: ‘Awful to hear about this accident tonight in Stamford Hill.

‘First thoughts with those injured in the accident and all those from the community and emergency services who went to help them.’
