In the nineties, skinny brows that had been plucked into a barely-visible linewere all the rage. But that all changed in the last decade, when women began investing in expensive processes like microblading and lamination to increase the thickness of their eyebrows.Â
But it seems the goalposts have moved once again as trendsetting celebrities have started a new craze – eyebrows that you can’t see at all.
The ‘no eyebrows’ trend has been displayed by A listers from Nicola Peltz to Kylie Jenner in recent months, who have posed with whitened, or perhaps even bleached, brows in photos.
According to beauty expert Lisa Little, the bleached eyebrows look enhances the prominence of other facial features, which can appear quite harsh. But it doesn’t seem to have stopped stars as big as Madonna from adopting the look.Â
Nicola Peltz Beckham, 27, recently posed for a photo wearing a white ribbed tank top and minimal make up, and copied the trend of bleached eyebrows
Posing in a hot pink top from her loungewear collection with AboutYou.com, supermodel Bella Hadid also copied the no eyebrows trend
Mother-of-two Kylie Jenner recently posed on a bed in a black bikini and knee-high black boots with her eyebrows bleached
Kylie’s sister Kim Kardashian was ahead of the trend – sharing images of herself bleaching her eyebrows in April of last year
At the most recent Paris Fashion Week, the Givenchy show saw several big names arrive with clear eyebrows as they paraded the red carpet, including Maisie Williams and Amelia Gray Hamlin.
Similarly, actress Mia Goth arrived at the screening of a film at the Venice International Film Festival with her eyebrows bleached as she posed in a stunning black gown with her hair tied back into a tight bun. Â
On Instagram, Kylie Jenner has recently posed a sultry photo of herself posing on a bed in a black bikini and knee-length black leather boots while eating a bunch of green grapes.
Taking a closer look at the photo, the mother-of-two appears to have bleached her eyebrows as she continues the trend.
The bleached brow look has also become a huge trend on the catwalk, with Gigi Hadid modeling the trend at the recent Givenchy Paris Fashion Week show earlier this monthÂ

Maisie Williams appeared at the Givenchy show at this year’s Paris Fashion Week and had appeared to also be following the trend
Julia Fox is known for pushing boundaries with her unique fashion looks, but when she bleached her brows last month she was right on trendÂ
Although many might think it odd to create the illusion of no eyebrows at all, it’s hard to argue when some of the most powerful trendsetting A listers are jumping on board.
Bella Hadid was recently pictured on her Instagram account posing while wearing a hot pink jumper from her collection of loungewear on aboutyou.com.
And if an international supermodel copying the look isn’t enough to convince you, then surely Madonna will twist your arm.
The Queen of Pop recently posed for a selfie on Instagram with bleached eyebrows and pink hair.Â
Similarly, Amelia Gray Hamlin also attended the Givenchy show with bleached eyebrows – which she had pierced

Queen of Pop Madonna appeared on Instagram with bleached eyebrows and pink hair, showing she has also followed the trend
Singer Doja Cat has also recently posed with bleached eyebrows, in a selfie in which she wore a brown top and silver chains
Make up and beauty expert Lisa Little told FEMAIL the look appears to be everywhere at the moment – but added it wasn’t for her.
She said: ‘The new eyebrow trend – or shall I say “no eyebrow” trend – is one that splits opinion. I feel it’s very much a reference to the 90’s brow, but taking it a step further.
‘Having no eyebrow makes some of our other facial features more prominent and flattering with a twist of futuristic about it.
‘I, however, feel the brow frames our face and without it we look too severe, and unfinished.
‘But if you do want to give it a shot, perhaps stick to the concealer and clear gel rather than reaching out for permanent bleach! It’s a drastic move and one that makes a big statement.
‘To brow or not to brow…that is the question!’
