Johnny Depp‘s attorney has won a massive online following as his fans share videos of the glamorous defense lawyer ‘grilling’ Amber Heard in their $100 million defamation trial.

Interest in Camille Vasquez soared after she cross-examined Heard on Monday and Tuesday.

At one point, she got the 36-year-old actress to admit she didn’t donate her full $7 million divorce settlement to charity despite previously claiming to have done so.

The California litigator squeezed in some sharp put-downs as part of her line of questioning.

‘Mr. Depp got you that role in Aquaman didn’t he?’ Vasquez asked on Tuesday after the court previously heard audio of Depp mocking the film in a fight.

Depp’s fan are now showering praise on the lawyer, tweeting photos of themselves wearing ‘I heart Camille Vasquez’ T-shirts and memes portraying her as the Nordic god of Thunder and Marvel character Thor.

They’re even making TikToks set to romantic pop music of the pair exchanging glances, holding hands and talking closely.

The two were all smiles as they entered the Fairfax County Circuit Courthouse on Wednesday, a day after they were snapped hugging in a photo that was widely shared on social media.

On Tuesday, Vasquez nodded and smiled when was asked by TMZ if she was dating her famous client as she walked out of the courthouse to throngs of fans.

Exchanges between Vasquez and Heard have gotten tense in the $100M defamation trial

Exchanges between Vasquez and Heard have gotten tense in the $100M defamation trial

Interactions between Vasquez and Heard became tense during the cross-examination portion of the trial earlier this week.

Vasquez accused the actress of editing a photo showing her allegedly injured face.

She asked Heard: ‘You just edited these photographs?’

Heard said: ‘Never’.

Vasquez asked if Heard ‘enhanced the saturation to make your face look more red?’

Heard said: ‘That’s incorrect, I didn’t touch it’.

Vasquez also claimed that Depp is just another one of Heard’s many victims and accused her of hitting her ex-girlfriend, citing an article reporting on her 2009 arrest at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

‘You committed violence against Miss Van Reedd during you relationship didn’t you?’ Vasques asked. ‘And it was covered in the press, isn’t that true?

‘So Mr. Depp isn’t the only domestic partner you’ve assaulted, isn’t he Ms. Heard?’

The exchanges sometimes devolved into angry back-and-forths.

‘Okay, Miss Heard. I got the answer. Thank you. You disagree,’ Vasquez insisted as Heard tried to explain that a photo showing Depp with a black eye was ‘photoshopped.’

Vasquez’s questions put the actress on the defensive, as she seeks to prove that her ex-husband coordinated a smear campaign against her in retaliation for a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which she described herself as a survivor of domestic abuse.

On Tuesday, Vasquez asked Heard if it was true that Depp got her the co-starring role in Aquaman.

Heard said: ‘Excuse me? No Miss Vasquez I got that role by auditioning.’

Vasquez asked: ‘You were the jealous one in this relationship?’

Heard said: ‘Johnny’s always been very jealous when I worked.’

Depp’s fans have taken to sticking up for the 37-year-old attorney along with their favorite actor.

‘I am still a Johnny Depp fan, but I am ALSO now a die-hard Camille Vasquez fan,’ said one fan.

One man posted a photo of himself wearing an ‘I heart Camille Vasquez’ T-shirt.

Memes praising the lawyer as a heroic or angelic figure have also appeared.

In one, her face is superimposed on the body of Marvel comic character Thor, who is based on the Nordic god of thunder and lightning.

Legal experts note that Depp’s huge fandom, accumulated over a decades-long career including three Oscar nominations, has benefitted him and his lawyer.

‘Johnny Depp is winning on social media—so his lawyer is doing the same,’ Juda Engelmayer, a crisis coordinator who represented convicted serial sexual harasser Harvey Weinstein, told The Daily Beast.

‘Historically, women who have defended men accused of sex crimes are met with online hate. But Camille Vasquez seems to have benefited from Johnny’s praise.’

On TikTok, videos with the hashtag #CamilleVasquez have been viewed 454 million times.

‘At the end of the day, it has to do with the affability,’ Engelmayer said. ‘People always want to love Johnny Depp. He has been around for 35 years. If he is supporting someone, these people want to support him.’

She does not have any public social media profiles.

Videos of her sitting close to Depp in trial, holding his hand while talking to him, and fetching him drinks have gotten close attention on social media.

Some fans speculate about a budding romance between the lawyer and her famous client.

One TikTok video shows the actor looking at his lawyer and smiling as she talks. The phrase, ‘The way he looks at her,’ appears on the screen.

Another video, set to the romantic song ‘Wildest Dreams’ by Taylor Swift, shows Vasquez leaning over to listen to Depp as she clutches his hand in her palms.

‘Wanna be her so badly omg,’ one commenter wrote.
