The romantic interest of Johnny Depp‘s star attorney Camille Vasquez has now been revealed as a British WeWork executive who lives in London.
Vasquez, 37, and her boyfriend Edward Owen, 38, were spotted on Thursday leaving a Virginia hotel near the Fairfax County Courthouse, after she helped Depp secure a blockbuster $10.35 million verdict in his defamation suit against Amber Heard.
During the six-week trial, the high-powered lawyer’s tender interactions with Depp in the courtroom spurred rampant speculation that the relationship might run deeper than attorney-client — and Vasquez only fueled the rumors by chuckling coyly when asked.
All along, however, sources say she has been quietly dating Owen, a successful Cambridge-educated senior director at WeWork, where he is in charge of real estate for Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
A source familiar with the matter confirmed the romantic link, and told DailyMail.com that the couple met in London in November, at upscale gastropub The Cow.

‘It’s quite a new relationship but Edward is smitten with her,’ another source said.
‘He has visited Camille in the US since this trial started and she plans to visit him in the UK as soon as the case is over. It’s long distance and they’re both high flyers in their respective careers, but they’re hoping to make it work,’ the person said.
Vasquez did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Thursday, and Owen could not be reached for comment.
Owen earned a degree in history from Cambridge in 2005, followed by a master of philosophy in real estate in 2006. He is also a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Prior to joining WeWork in 2017, Owen spent eight years working for international developer titan Swire Properties, with postings in China, Hong Kong and Miami.
During his time in Miami, he attended swanky events for art exhibitions and business awards. In 2018 he was one of the guest speakers at a business networking event in Ibiza and the following year he was photographed at the CEEQA Gala in Warsaw, Poland.

It’s unclear how Owen may have reacted to the rampant speculation that his new girlfriend Vasquez was romantically linked to Depp.
During trial, a TMZ reporter asked Vasquez: ‘The people want to know, are you dating Johnny Depp? It’s all over the internet. Can you set the record straight, yes or no?’
The California litigator declined to answer as she laughed, brushed her hair aside and waved to the throngs of fans gathered outside.
As the trial progressed, Depp’s fan lavished praise on the lawyer for her work defending the Oscar-nominated actor, tweeting out pictures of themselves wearing ‘I heart Camille Vasquez’ T-shirts and memes portraying her as the Nordic god of thunder and Marvel character Thor.
They even making TikToks set to romantic pop songs of the pair exchanging glances, holding hands and talking closely.
The native Spanish speaker is an associate in the legal firm Brown Rudnick, one of many lawyers on Depp’s team in his defamation suit, and reports are that they have all gotten very close to their A-list client – both as a professional relationship and a friendship.

Vasquez was born in July 1984 to parents Leonel and Marilia Vasquez, who are of Colombian descent.
They live in a $1 million home in Buena Park, according to public records.
Her father once owned a UPS Store in Anaheim. The location has been a FedEx store for the past 10 years, an employee told DailyMail.com.
Vasquez graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree in arts, communications and political science in 2006 magna cum laude, Newsweek reports.
She went to Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles from 2007 to 2010 and worked at one law firm before joining her current practice, Brown Rudnick LLP, as an associate.
And she is aptly living up to her billing as ‘One to Watch’ by The Best Lawyers in America for 2021-2022.
She focuses on ‘plaintiff-side defamation suits, with additional experience litigating contract disputes, business-related torts, and employment-related claims,’ according to her bio on the law firm’s website.
She’s also listed as having ‘extensive experience handling parallel reputation management and crisis communications issues arising from these engagements.’
