ITV vet Scott Miller confronts woman in road rage row after she ‘honked horn at him for a minute’

ITV vet Scott Miller has been accused of leaving a woman ‘shaken up’ after getting caught up in a road rage row, but the TV personality says he welcomes a police investigation and denies causing any damage.

Dr Miller was called out online by David Kenward who shared dash-cam footage of the altercation and accused the vet of ‘vandalising’ his mother’s car in Woking, Surrey.

The footage shows Dr Miller, known for his Channel 4 show Vet On The Hill and, more recently, for being the resident vet on ITV’s This Morning, approaching Heather Kenward’s car and messing with her windscreen wiper.

Ms Kenward, who told MailOnline it was a ‘very scary incident’, claims that the TV vet was ‘aggressive and threatening’ towards her and damaged the car’s windscreen wiper. Her husband has since clarified that the windscreen wiper has not been damaged but claimed the electrics of the wing mirror have been.

Ms Kenward, 60, alleged that she was trying to drive out of her street but was blocked in by Dr Miller, who had parked his grey Range Rover near the entrance.

‘He got out and told me to go around him,’ she said. ‘I wouldn’t as I would have been on the wrong side of the road on a blind turning.’

The woman claimed Dr Miller ‘got abusive’ so she ‘stayed in the car’. She said: ‘He got out again, went to the passengers side, broke my wipers and wing mirror.’

But Dr Miller denies having caused any damage to the car and says he only approached her after he was ‘triggered’ by Ms Kenward beeping at him ‘for minutes’.

He said he has apologised to the family for ‘acting out of character’ but was called a ‘low life’ by the woman’s son and received a threatening message on social media saying: ‘we have your address.’

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline he said: ‘I am very sorry for what happened and apologised immediately. I should not have got out of the car, but the woman had her hand on the beeper for over a minute and it just triggered my autism.

‘All I was thinking was how to stop the noise. I did not damage her car in any way, but the beeping was just insane. There was no need for her to do that. She kept her hand on the beeper for a good minute and that was uncalled for.

‘She could easily have driven around my car, but she refused to do so. I had stopped to pick up my 11-year-old daughter and then when she got in the car she blocked my car in a church car park. My daughter was very frightened.’

After the spat, Ms Kenward said she phoned the police while Dr Miller drove into the nearby church car park, where his daughter was waiting to be picked up after the school bus drop off.

‘[Police] said they would investigate but as he had driven off and I was in no danger they wouldn’t come immediately,’ she said.

‘[They] said they would come to collect dashcam footage and have a crime reference number.’

Dr Miller said he is ‘more than happy for the police to investigate’, adding: ‘I would hope that they look at the dash cam video and not the small clips that the family have posted. The entire video tells the whole story of what happened and not what they wanted people to see.

‘The police have not made any attempt to contact me whatsoever, but I will of course cooperate fully with them.’

Dr Miller said he sent the ‘road rage’ victim’s son David a fulsome apology, admitted he was ‘acting out of character’ and offered to come and meet his mother to apologise in person.

‘We are all fallible and all make mistakes, so I wish to apologise for my part in the altercation,’ he wrote.

'He didn't realise that there was a dash-cam recording the whole thing,' the woman's son wrote alongside several pictures which appeared to show Dr Miller approaching the car

In reply Mr Kenward accused Miller of ‘talking rubbish’ and suggested if he is triggered by loud noises he should not drive a car, should not ‘park like a t**t’ and should ‘get therapy and learn to control your aggression’.

Mr Kenward went on to write: ‘You would be unwise to apologise to me in person, I can tell you that much. I will leave this in the capable hands of the police, as I don’t want to waste any more time on a lowlife like you.’

Mr Miller added: ‘This whole thing has got completely out of hand and it is because I am on TV. His posts on Facebook are quite horrific and his brother joined in saying he has my address. Does that mean I have to look over my shoulder all the time?’

When Mail Online called at the Kenward home Jeremy Kenward, the victim’s husband, confirmed there was no damage to the windscreen wiper but claimed the electrics of the wing mirror were damaged.

There was no visible sign of any damage on the white Astra.

A police spokesperson said: ‘Surrey Police are investigating an allegation of criminal damage after receiving reports of a car being vandalised by a male suspect in Woking.
