Johnny Depp‘s ex-girlfriend Kate Moss is gearing up to take the stand to testify in his $100 million defamation trial against Amber Heard, after the Aquaman actress namedropped the supermodel during her testimony earlier this month.
The famously-private model – who rarely discusses her personal life and has previously said that she ‘hates’ doing interviews – will be testifying publicly in support of her former beau, and is expected to shut down Heard’s claim that Depp once pushed Moss down the stairs.
Moss’ testimony could possibly throw a wrench in Heard’s case since it will give Depp’s team a chance to quell rumors about their relationship – an opportunity which only arose after Heard herself brought Moss up in court.
While Moss, now 48, has always spoken highly of Depp, now 58, and is understood to be ready to lend a helping hand in his case, their high-profile three-year relationship in the nineties was far from smooth sailing.
As two of the biggest names in Hollywood, the stars’ high-profile romance, which began in 1994 and lasted for three years, was widely covered by the media – and the pair quickly became one of the most talked about couples of the ’90s before they ultimately split in 1997.
And although Depp and Moss were often spotted packing on the PDA on romantic trips around the globe and often attended glamorous events side by side, their relationship also had a darker side to it that embroiled the pair in scandal and controversy, and led them to be featured in many a headline.

Depp and Heard, 35 – who tied the knot in 2015, and were married for one year before Heard filed for divorce in 2016 – have been battling it out in court in recent weeks.
The trial, which is still underway in Virginia, is attempting to determine if a 2018 Washington Post essay written by Heard, in which she accused the actor of domestic abuse, defamed Depp.
During Heard’s testimony, the actress alleged that Depp once pushed Moss down a flight of stairs – however, sources say it never happened and that Moss has continued to support her ex-boyfriend throughout the court case.
Heard’s accusations about the former flames have opened the door for Depp’s lawyers to call Moss to the stand as a witness, which is reportedly set to take place on Wednesday.

Vanity Fair writer George Wayne later revealed that he was the one who set the two up.
Wayne wrote on Instagram in 2019, ‘Johnny was in the back having dinner and Kate walked in with Naomi [Campbell] and [I] grabbed her and made the introduction!

Donovan recalled feeling jetlagged and exhausted after flying from Sydney to LA for the party, so he decided to get some drugs.
‘I made a call. It was as easy as ringing for room service, the only difference being that what they were delivering was drugs,’ he recalled.

‘For a couple of hundred dollars I purchased a large bag of weed and half an ounce of uncut cocaine.
‘It was more coke than I would have ordered if I had been at home, but I didn’t want to run out and have to call the dealer again.’
He did the drugs alone in his hotel room before heading to the Viper Room for the celebration.
He said he continued to do drugs throughout the night until he started to feel sick – right as Depp and Michael Hutchence were taking the stage to perform.
‘I knew the symptoms all too well, for it was not the first time this had happened to me,’ he said.
‘My heart was racing, my vision was blurring and I was becoming disorientated. I tried to steady myself but my legs buckled under me and I fell to the floor.
‘I am not sure what happened next but I do know that someone had pulled the plug on the music and was calling for an ambulance.’
Thankfully, he fully recovered after being treated at Cedars-Sinai Hospital.
Donovan recalled Depp telling him later, after he apologized to the actor, ‘That’s cool, don’t worry. We’re just pleased that you are OK. Now take some advice from me, go to your room, get some sleep and for God’s sake take it easy in future.’

Heard made similar claims during the 2020 trial between Depp and the British outlet The Sun, whom he sued for describing him as a ‘wife-beater’ while covering his relationship with Heard.
‘He pushed Kate Moss down the stairs, I heard this from two people, and this was fresh in my mind,’ Heard told the jury at the time.
Moss has never publicly accused Depp of hurting her, and she has never spoken out about Heard’s claims, but sources say she has been nothing but supportive of Depp throughout the trial.
By mentioning the alleged misconduct during the court case, Heard inadvertently allowed Depp’s lawyers to call Moss as a witness to discuss the rumor, and she is now gearing up to take the stand to testify on Wednesday.
After Heard brought up the allegation, Depp’s legal team could be seen fist bumping and celebrating over the opportunity.
‘That’s one mistake that [Heard] made, was bringing up Kate Moss, which potentially opened the door to [Depp’s team] bringing [Moss] on as an impeachment witness, and say, “This never happened,”‘ California entertainment lawyer Mitra Ahouraian told the New York Post after Heard first made the allegations.
