Genevieve Parisi packed her bags and was about to angrily leave before Aaron Clancy stopped her on Tuesday’s episode of Bachelor In Paradise on ABC.
The 27-year-old Los Angeles bartender grew frustrated with Aaron, 27, an insurance agent from San Diego, after her attempt to share that she was falling in love with him instead sparked an explosive argument.
‘I just feel like I’ve been trying to spend time with you,’ Genevieve told Aaron while a large group reclined together on a daybed.

‘Are you really doing this?,’ Aaron asked her.
‘So I’m not allowed to feel …I’m not allowed to feel how I feel?,’ Genevieve asked.
‘You’re making me feel like I’m neglecting you,’ said Aaron who had just asked Johnny DePhillipo, 25, of Florida, to hang out in the pool and have beers with him.
They continued to argue and the other couples scampered away to let them hash it out.

‘Aaron and Genevieve are fighting. Their relationship is so hot and cold. I don’t know what’s gonna happen. At any time, a ticking time bomb can just go off,’ Michael Allio, 38, of Akron, Ohio, said in a confessional.
Genevieve said she was trying to explain her feelings and Aaron said their talk was ‘going in circles’.
Aaron then accused Genevieve of ‘gaslighting’ him and that infuriated her even more.

They both walked away from each other and Genevieve told Victoria Fuller, 28, of Nashville, that she wanted to leave the show.
‘Trust me, it’s not gonna work and I don’t want to be here,’ Genevieve fumed.
She told Victoria how Aaron accused her of gaslighting him.

‘He doesn’t know what that means. He’s just using a buzzword. He’s stupid,’ Victoria said.
Genevieve gave it one more shot, but Aaron paused.
‘Why’d you debate it?,’ she asked.

‘I don’t know if it’s the right time. ‘Cause I’m thinking about myself and if it was the right time for me,’ Aaron said.
Genevieve then stormed off and told a producer, ‘You can tell him I’m leaving.’

‘I’m not ready to close the door yet,’ Aaron told her.
‘Yesterday, I realized I was falling in love with you and that is why I wanted to have a conversation,’ Genevieve told him.
‘That’s a big thing and it’s scary. There’s a lot of really deep feelings I have that are hard to express and you’ve become so close to me. And the things you do like can deeply hurt me because of how much you mean to me. And I’m falling in love with you, too,’ Aaron said emotionally.

The two-hour episode also included some newcomers as Hayden Markowitz, 29, of Savannah, Georgia, joined the beach followed by twins Joey and Justin Young, 24, of Brookfield, Connecticut.

Hayden went on a date with Kate Gallivan, 33, of Lake Hollywood, California, who realized that she had a good thing going with Logan Palmer, 28, of San Diego, who reluctantly encouraged her to go on the date.
Joey pulled Shanae Ankney, 33, of Sycamore, Ohio, for a date while his twin Justin was joined by Florence Moerenhout, 32, of Melbourne, Australia.
They had fun with bartender Wells Adams presiding over the Cantina Games that included turning the guys into human burritos and holding eggs between their butt cheeks.

Eliza Isichei, 26, of Tampa, Florida, also was caught in a love triangle after going out on a date at the urging of Rodney Mathews, 30, of Rancho Cucamonga, California, with returnee Justine Glaze, 28, of Ellicott City, Maryland.
Rodney later insisted to Eliza that she was his ‘only focus’, but she afterward caught up with Justin and they kissed.
Bachelor In Paradise will return next week on ABC.
