An Aussie body positivity influencer has received death threats after posting photos of herself that showed the cellulite on her bums and legs.

Karina Airby went silent on Instagram for five days because she received an onslaught of nasty comments after sharing the bikini selfies with her followers.

Under a photo of herself posing in a blue two-piece as she faced her bottom to the camera, trolls commented that Karina was fat, disgusting, and even told her to kill herself.

One person wrote: ‘My goodness sorry but you look disgusting. I’m your age and I don’t have a body like that! You look like a woman with seven kids at the age of 60.’

Another said: ‘That’s enough to put me off red meat. Sometimes people should keep those tuck shop cheeks to themselves.’

The Gold Coast native shared the comments to to highlight the hate she was receiving, but said there were even worse things being said to her- like that she should die. 

‘My life on the internet,’ she wrote. ‘Sometimes you just need a little breather.

‘I haven’t posted in five days because sometimes I feel like… What’s the point?

‘People tell me to kill myself. Call me names. Discourage my work. Call out my skin conditions.

‘I LOVE social media, and I LOVE putting myself out there to help others feel less alone, make someone smile and distract people from their busy life’s.
