A family is in shock after two masked men were caught on CCTV stealing their two beloved dogs from their front yard.

One of the men climbed over the front fence of the home in Harrisdale, in Perth‘s south, at around 8:20am on Wednesday morning where the two King Charles Spaniels – Charlie and Harry – were seen being removed shortly after.

The CCTV footage shows the two men, dressed in all black and donning balaclavas, staking out the house shortly before one jumps the fence and quickly searches for the dogs.

The other man waits patiently on the other side of the fence with a dog lead in hand, quickly attaching the dogs before the pair take off across a nearby playground.

‘We are heartbroken,’ the dogs’ owner, Melissa Hanson wrote in a Facebook post.

‘If anyone knows anything please contact me.

‘Charlie and Harry are well known and loved by all the kids in the area.

‘The two men left heading across the parking/playground area towards Harrisdale Primary School.’

Ms Hanson then pleaded with locals to review any CCTV to try and track down the men.

‘Please check your cameras if you live in the area or if you were doing school drop off and seen 2 men with dogs like these.’

The matter has been brought to police who have urged anyone with information to come forward.
