Florence Pugh heaped praise on her ex-boyfriend Zach Braff while appearing on Monday’s The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
Proving they’re still on good terms, the actress, 27, revealed he’d sent her a good luck text just hours before the talk show, with a hilarious typo.
Back in August, Florence announced she had split with the actor and filmmaker, 47, after three years together in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
The Little Women star appeared on the show to promote her new movie, A Good Person, written by Zach.
Bringing up the upcoming picture, Jimmy said: ‘I want to talk about your new movie, A Good Person. This is written and directed by Zach Braff, who I love. He’s a great guy. So talented, but also super funny.’

Florence chimed in, ‘Yeah, let’s give him applause,’ before adding, ‘He told me to have fun tonight, but he texted, “Tell mommy I love him.”
‘It was a typo and actually was Jimmy!’ she exclaimed, to which the comedian joked, ‘I was gonna say, “Did he ever call me mommy?” That’s cool.’
Florence quipped: ‘Yeah, tell mommy you love him, too. Mommy loves you, Zach!’ while the audience roared with laughter.’
On a serious note, Jimmy continued, ‘But he wrote this film for you…’
Florence said, ‘I was his muse. I think, also, there’s so much ease with reading a script when someone knows how you talk and how far they can, like, push you and what you’re capable of doing. So it was just a joy.’
Florence pulled double duty serving as producer and lead actress opposite Morgan Freeman in the grief drama A Good Person, which hits UK and US theaters this Friday.
The Scrubs alum – who turns 48 next month – has remained more than amicable with the 5ft3in blonde, having dined with her and her family on Saturday night.
‘I’m just in awe of her talent,’ Zach – rocking a three-piece green suit – gushed to ET on Monday.

‘And I said, “I wanna write this [movie] for Florence. What I’m writing is really gonna be challenging and she’s incredible.”‘
Zach originally met Florence in August 2018 when he directed her in his 12-minute Adobe Creative Cloud short film, In the Time It Takes To Get There.
Other ladies from the A Good Person cast included Nichelle Hines, SJ Son, and Emilia Suárez – who play Molly, pharmacist Christine, and Gabriella.Â
Zach met up with Florence’s parents and grandmother for dinner on Saturday night, showing her family a good time in New York City.
Florence skipped the dinner but there’s no bad blood between her and Braff, whom she dated from 2019 to 2022.Â
The Little Women star has since moved with Charlie Gooch, who is reportedly a former schoolmate from England.Â
The actress confirmed in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar last year that she and the Scrubs star went their separate ways in August.

The pair worked to keep their relationship out of the public eye, with Florence saying they wanted to break up in private.
Florence told the publication: ‘We’ve been trying to do this separation without the world knowing, because it’s been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on.Â
‘We just felt something like this would really do us the benefit of not having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we’re not together. So we’ve done that. I automatically get a lumpy throat when I talk about it.’Â
Speaking to Collider last March, Zach sang her praises as he spoke about her performance in his film A Good Person, saying:Â ‘Florence Pugh’s performance in the movie, I know I’m biased, but it’s the most miraculous thing you will ever see.’
Premiering in theaters on March 24, A Good Person will showcase Florence’s lead performance playing Allison – a young woman who strikes up an unlikely relationship with her would-be father-in-law, years after surviving the tragic accident that killed her fiancé.
