The fake heiress and con-woman Anna Sorokin, 31, has been spotted in public flaunting an ankle tag wrapped around dark heels in her latest parole hearing.
From a casual glance, one would never mistake the apparent socialite for a convicted criminal under house arrest.
But the electronic tag fastened on to one of her stilettoes is a giveaway.Â
The fraudster went by the name Anna Delvey, a fake heiress who defrauded banks, hotels, restaurants and Manhattan society to fund her jet-set lifestyle.
Photos show her outside Federal Plaza in lower Manhattan after attending a parole meeting on Monday in New York City, as she continues to face deportation proceedings.
She shared a laugh with security after exiting a black car and strolling to her parole hearing.
After recently moving to a £3,800-per-month rental, a one-bedroom apartment in the fashionable but gritty neighbourhood of Manhattan’s East Village, the con-artist doesn’t get to enjoy the outdoors much.
Although she insists she doesn’t seek fame, Sorokin would swap her time outside for a pass to return to social media. A judge banned her from all platforms as part of her release terms.

Although she insists she doesn’t seek fame, Sorokin would swap her time outside for a pass to return to social media
After evading the law for years, Anna landed herself a sentence of four to 12 years in 2019 for swindling financial institutions and hotels to the tune of around £245,000.
‘My life story’s already been told by so many people, but I’m the only one who can really tell my story,’ said Sorokin, speaking to the Daily Mail last week. ‘This time around it’s about trying to control the narrative, reclaiming my voice and building a platform.’
‘I don’t see that as a bad thing,’ she adds.Â
Sorokin was released from prison on good behavior in February of 2021 after serving only two years.
Upon her release, she only saw six weeks of freedom before she was taken into detention for overstaying her tourist visa conditions by ICE, who kept her under lock and key for seven months.
Then, on October 5, Sorokin was granted a $10,000 bail bond and released from prison — prompting her move to Manhattan.
‘Being female in prison is not like being a man in prison. Females aren’t as violent — it’s more psychological back-stabbing,’ she told the Daily Mail last week.
‘It’s almost like high school where, if they don’t like you, they won’t let you sit with them. It’s a Mean Girls kind of thing rather than being beaten up.
‘I never got any hate to my face. Some of the guards would tell me I thought too much of myself but some of the prisoners would high-five me in the hallways.’
But her parole meeting is in important one. In the days ahead, she faces deportation to Germany for overstaying her visa.

Now, she wears an electronic tag and is only allowed out under supervision.Â
But Anna is on a mission to prove she is remorseful and deserves a second chance.
Defiant as ever, Anna still insists that she intended to give the money back, that she was never motivated by greed but instead her judgment was clouded by artistic ambition.
The time has come for her to turn a new leaf, she added when speaking to the paper.
