A half-hearted apology, frisky antics in the hideaway, accusations of game playing and tears – what else could it be but the latest episode of Love Island?

Friday’s instalment brought plenty of drama as Shaq Mohammad made an awkward apology to Tom Clare over the sports day fallout.

Viewers eyebrows were raised when Tanya Manhenga referred to Shaq as her boyfriend so soon after their Casa Amor drama.

Meanwhile, a challenge where the islanders had to rate themselves from first to third from what they thought the public would think of them saw Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins awkwardly named as the couple with the least sexual chemsistry. 

Lovebirds Jessie Wynter and Will Young hit a bump in the road as the Aussie beauty broke down in tears during an awkward chat about him liking her more than the other way around.

With the final drawing ever closer, here’s everything you missed on Love Island episode 47. 

FANS ARE CONFUSED AS TANYA CALLS SHAQ HER ‘BOYFRIEND’

Love Island fans were left baffled after Tanya referred to Shaq as her boyfriend.

It comes after she convinced the airport security guard to apologise to Tom for his antics following the Sports Day.

It all kicked off on Wednesday night after the annual Sports Day competition, when Shaq and Will ‘childishly’ ripped into Tom continuously for his team losing on Thursday night. 

Tensions rose as the islanders relaxed after the eventful day but Shaq wouldn’t drop winding Tom up after defeating his team in the children’s games. 

Shaq joked at Tom: ‘Your a grown man, chin up. You go again, get back on the training pitch we go again. It’s alright. It’s just a game. Just winners and losers isn’t it.’

But Tanya seemed less than impress with his antics as she told Shaq to, ‘go away and are you done now’. 

Shaq couldn’t help himself and kept digging at Tom, he added: ‘I say we go over there and let Samie give Tom a hug to calm down. You lost the game. It’s a joke bro. It’s a joke.’ 

Tom eventually lost his cool and yelled: ‘Shaq I’m telling you it’s not funny but why are you on me all the time it’s done. It wasn’t funny the first time. Just F*** off bro and leave it. I get it, now go.’ 

Tanya then insisted that Shaq apologise to Tom – of which he obliged.

Coming back to her after their conversation, Tanya then exclaimed ‘I have the best boyfriend ever!’

But taking to Twitter as the episode aired, fans were left extremely confused.

One fan said: ‘Have I missed an episode? Since when are Shaq and Tanya boyfriend and girlfriend?’ 

‘Did Tanya say boyfriend and girlfriend?’ another said.

A third questioned: ‘Did they cut out the scene where Shaq and Tanya became boyfriend and girlfriend or something cause I’m confused?’ 

Meanwhile, other fans shared their opinion that they didn’t buy the apology. 

One fan wrote: ‘Tanya basically making Shaq apologise and him walking up to Tom saying sorry then turning back round to her gives me a mum with a toddler at a play area telling them to apologise vibes;’

A second added: ‘Shaq’s fake apology, He’s jarring’. 

It comes after viewers agreed with Tom following Sports Day and quickly took to Twitter to slam Shaq for acting like a ‘baby’ and that if it was the other way round Shaq would be ‘fuming’.

One wrote: ‘Yeah there is banter after winning etc but Will and Shaq took that too far Tom was minding his business and there they were crowding around and yelling at him of course Tom would get annoyed by that anyone would.’ 

Another said: ‘Shaq is childish. What a joke! Kudos to Tom for keeping his cool.’

A third penned: ‘Na I’m with Tom on this one. I’m all for banter with mates but it’s when they keep going on and on when it ain’t funny anymore, just gets annoying. Shaq and will are acting like children’. 

A fourth added: ‘Nah Shaq needs to come down. I didn’t think Tom could have gone any redder’.

‘If I was Tom I would’ve slapped Will and Shaq by now they’re annoying fgs,’ added another.

WHAT WILL YOUR STUDENTS THINK, KAI? 

Fans were sparing their thoughts for teacher Kai Fagan‘s students after he spent some time getting close to Sanam Harrinanan during Friday’s episode.

The reality star, 24, who teaches science and P.E., stripped down to a pair of animal print boxer shorts after he was chosen to spend the night away from the rest of the group with social worker Sanam, also 24.

After Sanam had donned some see-through lace lingerie which left her behind on show, Kai was seen diving for the whips and other toys on offer after Sanam offered to perform a striptease for him.

Kai was then seen giving Sanam a massage before the pair covered each other in chocolate sauce.

And viewers were quick to take to Twitter to express their thoughts on the matter, insisting Kai’s students would not see him in the same light ever again. 

One person wrote: ‘imagine being one of Kai’s students and seeing your teacher on screen in leopard print boxers. I’d be mortified.’

Another person wrote: ‘I hope none of Kai’s students are watching this.’

While someone else shared: ‘The second hand embarrassment I would get if I was one of Kai’s students.’

‘Imagine Kai’s students! I could never imagine the balls teachers have to go on this show,’ remarked another viewer.

It comes after Love Island fans rejoiced on Thursday as Kai and Sanam got more screen time in the wake of Olivia Hawkins’ exit.

The couple, who recently went exclusive with their romance, have been going strong, however, they hadn’t been seen in the villa much amid recent dramas with other islanders.

Following the dumping, in which Olivia, Maxwell, Claudia and Keanan left, Kai and Sanam enjoyed a romantic breakfast where they discussed their growing relationship.

During their chat, Kai playfully urged his girl to drop the L bomb, with Sanam cheekily insisting that she really ‘likes’ the P.E teacher.

And watching the scenes unfold, viewers were quick to remark how happy they were so see more of the couple on their screen, with one quipping that they ‘Finally getting the the screen time they deserve!’

Taking to Twitter, fans were quick to give their opinion, with some suggesting that now Olivia – who was recently swept up in the ‘fake’ drama with Jessie – was gone, the pair were more visible.

One penned: ‘It’s weird that Kai and Sanam are getting more screen time now that Olivia has gone.’

FANS CRITICISE JESSIE FOR BRINGING UP CLAUDIA AGAIN

Claudia might’ve left the Love Island villa, but she certainly hasn’t left the conversation.

And fans were left confused as to why – after Jessie brought her up during the villa ranking challenge on Friday night.

After the cast were asked to decide which couple are the biggest game players, Jessie could be seen weighing out her options.

She then put Casey forward for the spot, believing his antics with Claudia to be the main reason.

In a not-so-subtle whisper to partner Will, she said: ‘I just feel like Claudia’s been gone two minutes and he’s acting like she never existed’. 

The shot then cut to Casey, who could be seen overhearing her comments.

But taking to Twitter as the episode aired, fans were left frustrated with Claudia’s mention.

One fan wrote: ‘I’m sorry but Jessie is starting to bug me a bit, the comment about Claudia not being there. 

‘What’s Casey expect to do? Not crack on with anyone and be there for no reason?’

Another added: ‘Jessie is too hung on this Claudia thing like girl’.

A third said: ‘Jessie the most annoying islander omg. If you loved Claudia that much then go leave with her’. 

‘Jessie needs to let Claudia’s spirit rest’, a fourth said.

It comes after Love Island’s Olivia won some rare praise from fans after she and Maxwell chose Claudia and Keanan to be dumped from the villa.

Olivia and Maxwell had received the news that they were heading home on Tuesday’s episode, after host Maya Jama waltzed into the villa for a dumping.

But in a plot twist never before seen, the couple were then informed that they would be the ones choosing who follows them out the door.

Long been dubbed as the shows ‘villain’, fans could not wait to see Olivia leave the programme.

The pair then had to choose between Claudia and Keanan, Rosie and Casey and Tanya and Shaq – who also received the fewest amount of votes from the public. 

And making their decision, Olivia explained how ‘difficult’ it had been.

She begun: ‘This has been a really difficult decision. Do you keep a couple in that could potentially rebuild a flame? 

‘Do you keep a boy and a girl that haven’t had enough time in here?

‘It’s been very difficult to make this decision and there’s so many options we could’ve gone for.

‘But we have decided that the islanders we are going to dump are… Keanan and Claudia.’

Taking to Twitter as the episode aired, Olivia received some rare praise from fans.

One wrote: ‘Yes Liv the only thing that you have done right this whole season, goodbye Claudia’.

A second added: ‘She actually made a decent decision?’

Meanwhile, other fans expressed their relief that Claudia was chosen to leave.

One fan wrote: ‘We got rid of Olivia and Claudia, order is finally restored’.

‘Let’s be real, we all knew Olivia was going to give Claudia and Keanan the boot’, a second said. 

FANS RECKON RON AND LANA DON’T HAVE ANY CHEMISTRY 

Love Island viewers reckon that Ron has more sexual chemistry with his dumped pal Tanyel Revan than girlfriend Lana following a viewer poll.

Friday’s episode of the ITV2 show saw the couples have to rank each other on various topics based on answers given by viewers, with Ron and Lana voted the couple with the least sexual chemistry.

The pair were quick to protest the vote, noting that they don’t always have to pack on the PDA to prove they’re attracted to each other, with Ron later insisting that they know how they feel about each other.

However, fans watching at home were quick to agree with the vote, noting that the couple had little spark between them and one quipping that there was ‘more sexual chemistry between my big toe and my last toe.’

Meanwhile several pointed out that there was more attraction between Ron and former islander Tanyel – who fans had long suspected had a crush on the boxer – with the duo sharing several highly-charged moments during challenges.

Taking to Twitter, viewers had their say, with one writing: ‘I honestly don’t see Ron with Lana. There’s just no chemistry, no spark.’

‘It’s true tho there’s no sexual chemistry between Ron & Lana lmaoo even when they kiss nothing’ shared another.

A third wrote: ‘Ron had more chemistry with tanyel as FRIENDS. Always flirty with each other and now he’s suddenly not pda with his gf?’

VIEWERS QUESTION WHY THEY CAN’T SEE JESSIE’S TEARS

Viewers were unimpressed with Jessie after she burst into tears during an awkward discussion with partner Will.

The personal trainer, 26, was seen taking farmer Will, 23, aside to have a discussion with him about him liking her more than the other way around.

She told him: ‘You’ve mentioned a couple of times that you like me more than I like you. See, I don’t like that because I feel like you do think that and I I feel like that’s why no one really respects me…

‘And I mentioned that was one of my biggest insecurities, and that comment definitely backs it up.’

Will responded: ‘I do know where you’re coming from. I don’t 100% agree with it.’

Jessie continued: ‘This whole time I’ve felt like that. Not to a dramatic extent and not to let it get in the way of us but if you’d have turned your head, people would never had really cared, they would have just been like, “Oh yeah, Jessie was here for Will, it doesn’t really matter”.

‘I actually feel like I have to try my utmost best to be there and support you all the time.’

Jessie then began to cry, prompting Will to grab her arms and give her a hug.

When asked by Will what she was crying about, she explained: ‘I just feel like everything has just built up.

‘It feels like you definitely think that I’m the one-sided one here. Even you think you definitely don’t like me as much.’

Stuttering, Will tried to explain: ‘What I’m saying is just what other people have said to me. This isn’t how I feel.’

While Jessie appeared to be emotional as she spoke about her feelings, viewers were unsympathetic, with many saying they thought she was putting on an act while questioning whether she actually had real tears.

One person wrote on Twitter: ‘No words for Jessie right now! Crying with no tears, indirecting, storming off. Not a good look honeybuns.’ 

‘I just know the other islanders are so tired of jessie crying,’ wrote another viewers, while someone else posted: ‘Jessie always crying but where are the tears again.’

Someone else asked: ‘Is there one episode where Jessie isn’t crying?’

While someone else begged show bosses: ‘Please can we get something else other than Jessie crying if there is no drama.’

Someone else shared: ‘There go Jessie crying with no tears again…’
