Movie buffs and philanthropists jumped at the opportunity to get their hands on original props, costumes and set pieces from the hit film, Everything Everywhere All At Once.
The entertainment company and film distributor A24 spearheaded a weeklong auction, which ran from February 23 to March 2, with the hopes of being able to donate 100% of the proceeds to charities in need.
After tallying the numbers, the auction ended up raising a whopping $555,725 for three different charities that were chosen by the films duo writers and directors, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (known as Daniels).
The organizations that are the recipients of the money generated are the Asian Mental Health Project, the Transgender Law Center and the Laundry Workers Center, according to NPR.
The genre-bending film tells the story of a Chinese-American immigrant family, led by middle-aged matriarch Evelyn (Michelle Yeoh), who simultaneously fights a tax audit of their struggling laundromat and a powerful being intent on destroying the multiverse.
