Billboard first reported news of the business transaction involving the rap veteran, whose real name is Andre Young.

The package the Forgot About Dre artist is selling reportedly includes a percentages of his royalties earned as a member of the group N.W.A.

It also encompasses a pair of his solo records; producer’s royalties; and proceeds from his writing royalties on the material in which he doesn’t have publishing rights (which could include tracks from 1993’s The Chronic).

Insiders told Billboard that Shamrock, which also owns a portion of Taylor Swift master recordings, owns about 75 to 90 percent of the revenue-producing portion, and that UMG has the other 10 to 25 percent
