Cashed-up MAFS stars ‘moaned’ to producers about living in studio apartments and wanted bigger accommodation – and one even asked for a parking spot for his Porsche

Several MAFS cast members complained to producers about having to live in studio apartments in Sydney‘s CBD while filming the Channel Nine show last year.

Three cashed-up contestants who are used to the finer things in life were apparently unhappy with the living conditions when they moved into Skye Suites on Kent Street.

Dan Hunjas, Melinda Willis and Layton Mills – who are all self-made business owners with millions in the bank – even requested ‘larger housing’ and more car space, but the producers told them this wasn’t possible.

‘The three have money and live a life of luxury. It was a real shock for them squashing into a regular studio apartment,’ a source told Yahoo Lifestyle.

They each put in requests for larger hotel rooms, but the producers immediately knocked this back.

‘There was quite a bit of moaning and requests for bigger accommodation – but they were told this wasn’t possible,’ the insider said.

‘Layton even asked if he could have a parking spot to bring his Porsche, but was told all the spots were reserved for production,’ they added.

Dan, who is now semi-retired, owns a successful online marketing business on the Gold Coast; Melinda runs several beauty clinics in Brisbane; and Layton is the CEO of a pharmaceutical company specialising in medical marijuana.

It comes after Dan was relegated to Channel Nine’s naughty corner after he spoiled a major storyline by going public with his new girlfriend.

Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealed last week the entrepreneur, 42, was dating busty nurse Samantha Symes – who was one of the guests at his TV wedding to Sandy Jawanda.

Since then, the couple has made no effort to hide their romance, despite Dan’s ‘marriage’ to Sandy still playing out on the show.

Producers are ‘furious’ at Dan for spoiling the fact his marriage to Sandy doesn’t last.

‘Dan had some very angry phone calls from production and publicists and he was made an example of to other cast members,’ a source said.

The cast also received a stern reminder about ‘playing the part’ and keeping storyline details under wraps until they have aired on television.
