Liz Truss dramatically admitted defeat and announced she was quitting as PM on Thursday, with Westminster gearing up for Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak to do ‘battle for the soul’ of the party.
There are claims that Boris – who was on holiday in the Caribbean – will bid for a shock return just six weeks after he left office.
