TikToker reveals the popular items that make you look cheap

An anonymous stylist has shared her shocking list of expensive and luxury items that she believes make you look ‘cheap’.

The TikTok video sparked controversy by including coveted buys like Louis Vuitton handbags and Chanel earrings.

But she won fans with the list of fashionable items that will ‘never’ go out of style.

She mentioned the four ‘things you’re wasting your money on that make you look cheap’.

She named Chanel logo earrings, personalised number plates, Louis Vuitton handbags and a bad spray tan as tell-tale signs of bad taste.

The account dubbed Louis Vuitton a brand for ‘status seekers’, and said the brand has been cheapened by copies.

‘Unless you’re from old money you just look like you’re rocking a fake whether it’s real or not,’ she said.

She also believes personalised number plates (left) and having a bad spray tan (right) are tacky and cheap

‘I don’t agree with Louis Vuitton. It’s a classic,’ one woman said.

‘Chanel logo earrings can be removed from the list,’ another wrote.

‘Can we normalise letting people buy what they want with their money and not judging them for being cheap?’ another commented. 

However, many people agreed with the list.

‘Yes! Any logo items. Do not be a walking billboard for a company,’ one woman said.
