Josh Duggar accused armed officers of ‘restraining’ him during his interrogation for child pornography and is demanding a new trial.
Duggar, 34, is serving a 151-month sentence in a Dallas, Texas prison after he was found guilty last December of downloading a vile trove of ‘the worst of the worst’ child porn.
The disgraced reality television star of the series 19 Kids and Counting claimed in a court filing that he was ambushed by police outside of his business in April 2021 for questioning, and insisted he was prohibited from calling his lawyer.
Despite insisting that officers restrained him, the officials insisted Duggar wasn’t touched and was free to move.
The documents obtained by The Sun also revealed that Duggar insisted Caleb Williams, his employer and a registered sex offender, was the one who committed the child pornography crime.

Six police cars and tactical agents waited for Duggar to arrive to his business the day he was interrogated for his crimes in 2021, according to the court filing.
He claimed he was ‘blindsided’ by the ambush and was allowed to leave per officers orders.
‘Duggar immediately took out his phone and said he was calling his attorney. [An agent] took the phone from Duggar’s hand, preventing him from calling counsel,’ the filing reads.
But, federal officials responded to Duggars claims and insisted: ‘Duggar was allegedly told he was free to leave.’
‘The Government also contends Duggar was not restrained,’ the filing continued. ‘But restraint is about more than being handcuffed.
‘Duggar was placed in a police vehicle with two armed agents. He was told his attorney could not join him after he attempted to call counsel, and he had no access to a vehicle.
His lawyers argued that anyone in Duggar’s position should have felt ‘deprived of his freedom of action in any significant way.’

In the court filings, sex-offender Williams was also blamed for committing the crimes Duggar was charged with.
Duggar’s attorneys argued that Williams may not have been called to the stand in 2021 because he may have lied about being at the business when the crimes were committed.
The filing reads: ‘Law enforcement failed to investigate Williams and never analyzed Williams’ devices the computer could have been accessed remotely the images and videos were “streamed.”‘
This suggests that information could’ve been withheld by Williams.
Duggar was also prepared to provide evidence against Williams but was never given the opportunity.
The reality TV star alleges Williams ‘worked at the business; had familiarity with the computer and its software; engaged in eBay sales and utilized the computer to print labels; sent a text message on May 7, 2019 offering to watch the business that week; spent the night one mile from the business on May 9, 2019; and concealed all metadata on documents provided to the Government in an attempt to establish he was not present.
Williams previous told The Sun that the accusations were false and simply a ‘PR stunt’ for freedom.

Duggar had previously made headlines in 2015 when police reports stating that he had molested four of his young sisters when he was 12 became public. His parents said he had confessed to the fondling and apologized.
His stunning fall occurred after jurors learned his self-taught tech skills to scour the dark web for sick videos of little girls being tortured, humiliated and abused.
Graphic titles such as ‘pedo mom,’ ‘play tot sweetie’, ‘Daisy’s destruction’ and ‘ultra hard pedo pedofilia’, left little to the imagination.
One video ended with a girl being caged in a dog kennel. Another series of images depicted a minor being raped by a male adult.
The videos were downloaded between May 14 and 16, 2019.
The warped cache was so disturbing that a seasoned FBI child exploitation investigator said it was ‘in the top five of the worst of the worst that I’ve ever had to examine.’
At the time of the trial, defense lawyers contended that a former employee or hacker could have exploited Duggar’s lax internet security to hijack his computer and remotely download the material without anyone knowing.
