Home and Away hunk Matt Evans reveals he has finally caught Covid despite avoiding it the entire pandemic – after first mistaking his symptoms for hay fever
Home and Away star Matt Evans shocked his fans on Tuesday by revealing he has finally caught Covid.
The Western Australian-born actor, 26, told his Instagram fans he initially thought his symptoms were hay fever and was stunned when his Covid test came back positive.
He wrote some chilling words alongside a photo of his positive result: ‘Never had Covid before so I’m like, never gonna get it. Next minute… definitely not hay fever.’

Fortunately, Matt had the support of his 59,000 followers who were quick to wish him a speedy recovery.
One concerned fan wrote ‘hope you don’t get it too bad’ and added he should ‘get plenty of rest’.
Another advised the handsome actor to ‘drink plenty of water’.

Matt shot to fame two years ago when he made it to the Top 20 of Delta Goodrem’s team on The Voice Australia.
The star said earlier this year he is drawn to writing love songs but admitted he doesn’t fall in love easily.
‘I do write a lot of love songs, which is funny because I haven’t had many girlfriends,’ he said.

‘I think it just feels natural to speak my mind through music whereas I struggle in real life sometimes,’ he added.
Matt, who plays Theo Poulos on the show, will have his music played on the series during upcoming scenes.
‘That is super exciting for me because it is really nice to have both of the worlds combine,’ he said.
‘It has been hard almost letting go of music by just doing the acting for a while so it is really nice to be able to do both.’
