Phoebe Burgess issued a lengthy response to a vile troll who accused her of being ‘Australia’s very own Amber Heard‘.

The former WAG, who previously accused her ex-husband Sam Burgess of domestic violence and drug and alcohol abuse during their marriage, shared a screenshot of the exchange to her Instagram on Sunday and said she will no longer ‘stay silent’.

Referencing the bombshell court case between Amber Heard and her ex-husband Johnny Depp, Phoebe, 32, said if Depp’s mission was ‘to send a signal to all the abusers and misogynists out there that women won’t be believed, he’s succeeded’.

Speaking out: Former WAG Phoebe Burgess (pictured) has hit back at a troll who accused her of being ‘Australia’s very own Amber Heard’ – after she previously made domestic violence claims against ex-husband Sam Burgess

The troll commented on a recent Instagram Story of Phoebe’s that saw the lifestyle influencer seated in her car and showing off her stylish outfit of the day.

‘Get a new story you absolute loser. Your children will despise what you have done. Australia’s very own Amber Heard,’ the troll wrote.

In response, Phoebe told her nearly 87,000 fanbase that while she would normally ‘not legitimise’ such comments, it’s important to call out ‘ignorant, unacceptable behaviour’.

‘If any of you have been feeling uncomfortable about the way Johnny Depp’s defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard has been portrayed and consumed: I hear you, sister,’ Phoebe wrote.

‘If his mission was to send a signal to all the abusers and misogynists out there that women won’t be believed, he’s succeeded.’

Depp has denied any physical or sexual abuse, and says Heard concocted the claims to destroy Depp’s reputation.

Phoebe had previously accused ex-husband Sam, 33, of domestic violence and drug and alcohol abuse during their marriage, which ended in acrimony in late 2019.

The allegations were published in The Australian newspaper in October 2020 and denied vehemently by Sam at the time.

In October last year, police however cleared Sam of any wrongdoing after a year-long investigation.

Having spent more than 12 months looking at the claims New South Wales Police confirmed the investigation was over in a 12-word statement.

‘Following extensive inquiries, no further police action is expected to be taken,’ a spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia.

The original reports in The Australian followed ‘a four-month investigation’ and included statements from Phoebe and her father Mitchell Hooke.

The newspaper said the reports relied upon ‘pharmaceutical records, sworn statements to NSW Police, statutory declarations and witness accounts’.

They also drew on ‘call logs, emails, text messages, bank records, WhatsApp exchanges and Uber receipts.’

The allegations cost Sam his coaching job with South Sydney and commentary work with Fox Sports.

Defamation lawyer Mark O’Brien, acting for Sam, said after the stories were published: ‘The allegations are false and constitute an indefensible defamation against my client.’

‘It is apparent sources of the false allegations are those currently in dispute with my client over various issues.’

Depp has denied any physical or sexual abuse, and says Heard concocted the claims to destroy Depp’s reputation. Depp’s legions of online fans have focused on their belief that Heard has been untruthful, and that that will determine the outcome.

But the case itself is a defamation claim.

Depp, 58, sued his ex-wife Heard, 36, for $50 million for an op-ed piece she wrote for the Washington Post in 2018 in which she claimed to a ‘public figure representing domestic abuse.’

His team argues that she was the abuser and have provided evidence of recordings of the actress where she admits to hitting Depp.

They also say she threw a bottle at him which cut off his finger, forcing him to have multiple surgeries to repair it.

Heard then filed a $100 million countersuit against the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star, stating that the 2020 ‘Waldman statements’ given to the media by Depp’s former lawyer Adam Waldman claimed her allegations to be an ‘abuse hoax.’

A verdict in the case is expected next week.
