Zara Tindall ‘won’t meet husband Mike on the I’m A Celebrity bridge as kids need her more’ claims one insider – who says he’ll be greeted after his exit by ‘one of his rugby mates’

Zara Tindall won’t greet her Rugby star husband Mike in Australia after his exit from I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, former contestant Edwina Currie has claimed.

The former politician, 76, believes the royal, 41, won’t meet Mike at the show’s infamous exit bridge as she needs to be home for their children.

Edwina told The Mirror: ‘I don’t think she’ll come because she’d be there now. My own opinion is that she won’t be there, not least because the kids need her more than anything.’

Claims: Zara Tindall ‘won’t meet husband Mike on the I’m A Celebrity bridge as kids need her more’ claimed Edwina Currie this week

Edwina, who appeared on the show back in 2014, said Zara and the royal family don’t ‘need the publicity’.

She said she thinks Mike will be greeted by one of his friends once he’s booted from the jungle.

She added: ‘They don’t need the publicity, therefore I would be surprised if she goes. My guess is that the person who will welcome him at the end of the bridge will be one of his rugby mates.’

However, Mike previously confirmed wife Zara will be flying to Australia to support him on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! ‘if it got to the end’ – and warned him not to eat too loudly.

It comes after Mike received a sweet letter from home on Sunday night’s episode.

The campmates received the treats after successfully completing a series of challenges in teams.

‘Hi my love, we are missing you so much and really needing some papa hugs, but glad you’re sharing them with your campmates,’ Zara wrote.

‘The girls are enjoying sports and throwing themselves into everything at the moment and the little man is loving life, smashing it up, learning some new words. Z, M, L and L. x’
