A young driver who allegedly hooned around his neighbourhood in a defected and unregistered car has been charged with more than 100 offences.

The 21-year-old was pulled over while driving an allegedly defective and uninsured Ford Falcon on Caleys Court at Lockrose, west of Brisbane, on February 18.

During footage of the arrest, a Queensland Police officer can be heard saying they’d received at least seven videos of the car allegedly performing burnouts on the roads of the Darling Downs area between February 7 and February 18.

‘This should never be on the road,’ the officer says.

The car was allegedly at the centre of investigations into dangerous driving offences in the area.

During his initial arrest, he was originally charged with several offences but following investigations and an analysis of his mobile phone, the 21-year-old was taken into custody on March 1 and hit with a total of 107 charges.

The offences included 23 counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and 25 counts each of an unregistered vehicle, uninsured vehicle and defective vehicle.

He was also charged with seven counts of supplying dangerous drugs and one count each of possessing anything to use in the commission of a crime and driving while using a mobile phone.
