A witness has told of the moment he found his housemate dead in her driveway – surrounded by blood – when he returned to his home in Sydney’s south-west in the early hours of the morning.

Maintenance worker Daniel Tua returned home to Moorebank after his night shift before 6am on Friday when he found the 43-year-old woman lying dead in the driveway.

The woman, 43, had suffered a serious cut to her left arm and had suffered no other obvious injuries, police said.Ā

Cops are examining a smashed window at the property.Ā Ā

‘It was still dark’, Mr Tua told Daily Mail Australia.

‘As I turned into the driveway I saw the body lying there and blood was everywhere. On the driveway, on the footpath.’

Mr Tua could not get through to the emergency services so he flagged down a driver to call them.Ā

He said the woman, his housemate, was wearing a colourful, loose fitting, Fijian-style dress.Ā

‘They [her and her boyfriend] live by themselves and I live on my own,’ he said.

‘They mind their own business so I mind my own business. We don’t really speak.’

Mr Tua’s car was still parked across the street and on the driveway when Daily Mail Australia visited the scene.

A police officer, who had been at the seen for seven hours, said two homicide detectives were still at the scene.

However, he added: ā€˜I donā€™t think itā€™s homicide: it seems more like suicide.ā€™
