Avril Lavigne shocked fans when she confirmed her romance with Tyga by sharing a kiss at the Mugler x Hunter Schafer Party during Paris Fashion Week.
The singer, 38, and the rapper, 33, locked lips and cosied up to one another, as he put his arms around her.
The pair had first been linked the week before when they were spotted attending the Courrèges show and then arriving together at Leonardo DiCaprio’s party at Kuku restaurant in the French capital.
The new romance came shortly after Avril confirmed she had split from rapper Mod Sun in February after dating on and off for two years.

Jesse Colburn 2003 – 2004
Avril’s first public relationship was with her bandmate Jesse Colburn.
It’s not clear exactly when the pair began dating but they were pictured kissing in 2003, a year before Jesse quit the band and the couple went their separate ways.
Jesse was 21 at the time while Avril was 18.
She told MTV News at the time: ‘He just wanted to go do his own thing and stuff, and I mean, that happens.’
Deryck Whibley 2004 – 2009
Shortly after her split from Jesse, Avril began dating Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley, with the couple getting engaged in 2005.
The Girlfriend songstress got engaged to Sum 41 frontman Deryck in 2005 and the pair got hitched the following year when she was 21 and he was five years her senior.
The couple tied the knot the following year in a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony at a private estate in the California coastal city of Montecito when Avril was 22 and Deryck 27.
By 2009, the pair had gone their separate ways, with a source telling People she ‘married too young’.
Discussing the news on her blog, Avril penned: ‘We have been friends since I was 17, started dating when I was 19, and married when I was 21. I am grateful for our time together, and I am grateful and blessed for our remaining friendship.
‘I admire Deryck and have a great amount of respect for him. He is the most amazing person I know, and I love him with all my heart. Deryck and I are separating and moving forward on a positive note.’

Wilmer Valderrama – rumoured
Two months after splitting from her first husband, Avril was rumoured to be dating That ’70s Show star Wilmer Valderrama.
The pair were spotted partying together in November 2009, with an onlooker telling People magazine: ‘There were others at the table but you could tell they only had eyes for each other.
‘They were whispering close the entire night, laughing and having a lot of fun.’
A source added: ‘They’ve been friends for a long time and have worked together before.’

Brody Jenner 2010 – 2012
Caitlyn Jenner’s son Brody was the next love in her life, with the pair seen on double dates with Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries.
The duo dated between 2010 and 2012 but it was reported that cracks began to show due to Avril’s intense touring schedule and their opposing views on marriage.
When they split, a source told Us Weekly, ‘It was mutual, but Brody really broke up with her.
‘He told her he was tired of always being her plus-one, and always going on tour with her.’

Chad Kroeger 2012 – 2015
Avril walked down the aisle for the second time to Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger in a gothic South of France ceremony.
The couple tied the knot in 2013 a year after they started dating but it wasn’t meant to be and by 2015 they had split.
Despite going their separate ways the pair have remained good friends and continue to spend lots of time together.
Avril recently said of their unconventional split: ‘Chad and I are really good friends. We have remained close and he supports me to this day. So it was really special to have him there and helping me.’

J.R. Rotem 2017 – 2018
Two years after splitting from her second husband, Avril was linked to music producer J.R. Rotem, who has worked with the likes of Rihanna, Gwen Stefani, Nicki Minaj and Britney Spears.
Rumours first started when J.R shared a cosy Instagram snap with Avril in 2017, where he called her his ‘bae’.
A source told E! News: ‘J.R. is a producer she’s been working with. He’s respected in the industry. Lately, they’ve started hanging out socially and there’s definitely chemistry there. They’re both so passionate about music.’
The pair were also seen enjoying several cosy dinner dates but had split by the following year.

Phillip Sarofim 2018 – 2019
The Canadian singer started dating billionaire heir Phillip Sarofim in February 2018 after meeting through mutual friends.
Phillip is the son of Texas billionaire Fayez Sarofim – the CEO of Trousdale Ventures, LLC, a privately held investment firm.
Avril kept their romance secret for a year, shocking fans when she announced on a radio show in 2019 that she was celebrating her one-year anniversary.
The couple split in November that year.

Inside the gala, the pair were seen holding hands and snuggling up to each other on a number of occasions and the Complicated singer introduced her new man to a number of high-profile celebrities that included Justin Bieber
The two were first seen out together with friends in West Hollywood in November, the same month the eight-time Grammy nominated artist split with billionaire boyfriend Phillip.
They did not announce their break up.

Mod Sun 2021 – 2023
Avril began dating Mod Sun in 2021 and their relationship quickly progressed, with the couple getting engaged the same year.
They shocked fans when it emerged they’d split in February in 2023 and Mod Sun said he was ‘blindsided’ when the singer called it quits.
The couple went their separate ways after a two-year romance – with his representative informing Page Six both he and Avril ‘were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour.’
TMZ reported that Avril had called off their engagement after the couple were ‘on and off’ for the past couple months.
While what exactly led to the split remains unclear, the tabloid says neither party were unfaithful to one another.

Speaking last year, Avril admitted ‘relationships are not easy’ and said she had finally learned to ‘prioritize’ herself rather than relying on other people.
She told FAULT magazine: ‘Yes, love is hard and relationships are not easy. It’s not easy for anybody and I’ve now lived long enough to realize that I need to prioritize myself and take care of myself.
‘I went through a phase where I was like, “I’m gonna be independent and have time on my own for a minute…” And it really didn’t last that long!’ she said.
‘But when I started the album, I was definitely in the mindset of, “If I’m going to rely on anyone in this world, it’s going to be me.”‘
