Seriously: Wes Nelson, 24, has admitted that he is constantly battling to be taken seriously as a singer, after he first rose to fame on reality TV
‘People who go on reality TV get shot down if they ever try anything new but then at the same time they get called talentless’.
The singer, who is currently supporting N-Dubz on their UK Tour, and has had a top 10 hit with See Nobody, went on say that his stints on reality TV have been a ‘double-edged sword’.
‘There’s not many who have been taken seriously as an artist who come from a reality TV and that’s because of the stigma that comes with being on a show like that’.
Before adding: ‘But at the same time it’s given me a platform to show me my talent, and as long as I put out good music that’s all that matters’.

‘I wouldn’t like to go back in, I’ve been in there and experienced and got what I wanted out the show and met some great people, and there’s isn’t much more I could do in there – I’ve had my Love Island days’.
Speaking about the Ski Edit Wes said that the option of pre-loved equipment made the expensive sport accessible to everyone.
‘People can be intimidated by the price and a lot of people don’t want to go on holiday because of that and skiing holidays are some of the best holiday’s I’ve ever had!’.
On stage: The singer, who is currently supporting N-Dubz on their UK Tour, went on say that his appearances on the shows have been a ‘double edged sword’
On Tuesday Wes took to the stage to warm up the crowd in Nottingham before headliners N-Dubz cancelled their appearance with just five minutes notice.
After waiting for hours inside the Motorpoint Arena, fans were enraged to learn that the band would not be taking to the stage for the latest show on their comeback tour, with an on-screen statement blaming it on ‘an artist’s illness’.
Dappy, Tulia and Fazer took to their social media on to say sorry to their fans, writing that they had only just received doctor’s advice that Dappy could not perform before they were supposed to go out on stage.
Wes Nelson teams up with Crystal Ski Holidays to launch The Ski Edit – a new skiwear edit available to rent via By Rotation until April 2023, to help make skiwear more affordable and sustainable.
