- Comedian stuns The Project with filthy Jesus joke on live TV
- Queer comedian Reuben Kaye stunned the panel with the jokeÂ
Queer comedian Reuben Kaye has left The Project panel stunned after an x-rated joke about Jesus live on air.
On Tuesday night, Kaye spoke on the hate he receives for his beliefs and dressing up in drag, especially from the Christian and Catholic community online before he dished out a brash joke about Jesus.
‘I love Jesus, I love any man who can get nailed for three days straight and come back for more,’ Kaye joked.
His line left the panel speechless, most of all Waleed Aly who looked on in shock.
Yet Sarah Harris laughed with the gay comedian’s joke as the cast were lost for words.Â
Social media blew up following the comedian’s joke, with many saying he went too far.
‘Talk about the panel being uncomfortable after an interview,’ one person wrote.
‘Actually a filthy joke about Jesus. I’m all for being who you wanna be, but that’s too far,’ another said.
‘Awwwkward. Humour for the comedy bar, not national tv,’ a third person tweeted.
Kaye is known for his crude humour which is combined with singing and all-around showmanship in his comedy shows.
