Vanessa Feltz ‘in demand for new series of Celebs Go Dating’… following her split from Ben Ofoedu

She only revealed last week that she has split from fiancé Ben Ofoedu after 16 years together.

And Vanessa Feltz is already reportedly being scouted for the next series of Celebs Go Dating by E4 bosses.

The TV personality, 60, is said to be ‘top of the wish list’ for the show, which has previously starred famous faces such as Gary Lucy, Sam Thompson, Ulrika Jonsson, Pete Wicks, Wayne Lineker and Joey Essex.

According to The Sun, a TV insider shared: ‘Vanessa is top of the wish list when it comes to casting.

‘Talks with potential cast mates are going to begin next month and producers are willing to throw big money Vanessa’s way in a bid to get her to sign on the dotted line.

‘She’s been so brave and dignified with how she has dealt with this break-up, and the nation absolutely love her.’

Adding that it would be a win for the show’s ratings if they were to bag Vanessa, the source concluded that it was yet to be known whether she would be keen to take part.

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Vanessa and Celebs Go Dating for comment. 

Vanessa’s split is still very fresh for the star, who admitted earlier this week that she was ‘Doing my best to put on a brave face’.

The broadcaster was left ‘heartbroken’ last week as she revealed the split, which came amid claims that Ben had ‘cheated with several other women’.

This Morning regular Vanessa reportedly found a string of social media messages and emails from Ben, 50, to other women.   

She said: ‘I had thought it might take a bit longer before this came out, because it’s a lot to deal with — a shock like this takes some adjusting to — but I am extremely sad and disappointed that my 16-year relationship with Ben is over.

‘As an agony aunt I have said many times that once the trust in a relationship is gone, it can never be repaired or regained. So I have to take my own advice on this occasion.

 Vanessa and Ben first met in 2005 after she divorced surgeon Michael Kurer in 2000.

Sources told The Sun on Sunday that Ben’s return to touring with Phats & Small at holiday parks around the UK led to his alleged roaming eye.

A friend of the couple told the publication Vanessa is ‘heartbroken, ashamed, devastated’ but they insist she is determined to take back control of her life and focus on her new TalkTV show.

Vanessa married Michael Kurer in 1983 but their marriage ended 17 years later. They share daughters Allegra, 37, and Saskia, 34.
