Trump launches blistering attack on the ‘Stormy ”Horse Face” Daniels extortion plot’

Donald Trump has declared he is the victim of a ‘Stormy ”Horse Face” Daniels extortion plot’, saying he’s being targeted by a series of ‘horrible radical left Democrat‘ investigations.

The former president – who believes he is on the cusp of being arrested this week – told his supporters he would protect them during a riled-up post on Truth Social.

He warned: ‘They are not coming after me – they are coming after you. I’m just standing in their way. And I always will stand in their way.’

Trump, 76, is expected to be arrested this week in Manhattan, as a grand jury investigating hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels wrap up their deliberations.

Sources told DailyMail.com the 76-year-old will be arrested ‘on Wednesday at the earliest’. Meanwhile, police forces across the US were making preparations for potential unrest if the former president is arrested.

Trump’s lawyer said the former president continues to deny the substance of the allegations of a sexual relationship with Daniels  calling the $130,000 a ‘nuisance payment’ that wealthy or famous people sometimes pay to make a distracting situation disappear

Trump’s arrest is believed to be imminent because he was offered the chance this week to speak to the grand jury about the $130,000 payments, made just before the election, but declined to testify.

Trump’s lawyers have enlisted Robert Costello, who previously advised Trump ‘fixer’ Michael Cohen, to testify against Cohen and attempt to damage his version of events.

Cohen made the payment to Daniels, and was sent to prison for campaign finance violations. He has now turned against Trump.

Trump confirmed Costello had testified.

‘It is being said that disbarred lawyer Michael Cohen was put out to dry today after his highly respected former attorney and legal adviser, Robert Costello, made a great impression not only on the D.A.’s Office, but the grand jury itself,’ Trump wrote.

‘He is known to be a great lawyer and highly honorable man. He stated to the media that he could no longer listen to the lies that Cohen was spreading. He told the TRUTH, with papers, documents, and backup. He left ZERO doubt.

‘THE D.A. WILL DO THE RIGHT THING!’

Trump on Monday night listed what he saw as the unfair investigations into him and his government, and vowed to fight back.

He said: ‘These four horrible radical left Democrat investigations of your all-time favorite president – me – is just a continuation of the most disgusting witch hunt in the history of our country.

‘It’s gone on forever, with Russia, Russia, Russia and Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine, and the Mueller hoax. It’s an absolute disgrace what’s going on. They even spied on my campaign.

‘And remember this: with all of the work that they did on Mueller – no collusion. That’s what the answer was. It was all, no collusion.’

Trump told his supporters he was being attacked by ‘sick’ prosecutors determined to bring him down, insisting he was seen as a threat to Democrat power and needed to be stopped.

The former president added: ‘Whether it’s the Mar-a-Lago raid, or the unselect committee hoax, the perfect Georgia phone call – it was absolutely perfect – or the Stormy ‘Horse Face’ Daniels extortion plot, they are all sick.

‘And it’s fake news. Our enemies are desperate to stop us because they know that we are the only ones who can stop them.

‘And they know it, very strongly. And they are looking at the polls where, not me, but we, are up by so much. They can’t even believe it.’

Trump, who declared in November that he was running for re-election in 2024, told his followers that they needed to return him to the White House.

He noted, correctly, that he is ahead of all others in the polls, beating both likely Republican challenger Ron DeSantis, and comfortably defeating Joe Biden, if he runs again.

‘We won twice, and now we have got to win a third time,’ said Trump. They know that we can defeat them. They know that we will defeat them. But they are not coming after me – they are coming after you.

‘I’m just standing in their way. And I always will stand in their way. Thank you very much.’

Trump’s spokeswoman, Liz Harrington, told Chris Cuomo on NewsNation on Monday night that it was ‘a get-Trump operation’.

‘It makes no logical sense, it makes no rational sense, and it certainly makes no legal sense,’ she said.

‘It’s a totally lawless operation.’

Harrington said taxpayer money was being used to ‘harass a political campaign’, and insisted he was innocent.

‘What they are doing here is perverting the law to try and take out a political opponent. And in the United States of America, we do not raid the homes of our presidents, and arrest our number one opponents.’

She said the U.S. was becoming ‘a Third World country’ by investigating Trump.

Trump himself also called into a YouTube broadcast hosted by Pastors For Trump and told them that the future of the country hung in the balance.

He asked them to pray for the country, and help him return to the White House and ‘restore order’.

He said the country was in a perilous state, accusing Biden of being weak.

‘We have no leadership,’ he said.

‘We’re like a rudderless giant ship but the giant ship is heading to the bottom of the sea, if we don’t do something. But we’ll do it through prayer.’

Trump said that the Biden administration had hamstrung the United States and was placing it in grave danger – warning the country was at one of the most precarious moments in history.

‘We have to pray, and we have to do all of the things that we – we just have to get it going,’ he told the broadcast.

‘We have to make sure that our country remains strong: it’s not strong right now – we’ve never been in a position that few people have seen it in. I think it’s the most dangerous we’ve ever had.

‘We’ve never been in a position like this, with a leader that doesn’t know what he’s doing, a leader that truly has no clue.

‘And other leaders that are the absolute top of their game, when you look at China and Russia and Iran and all of these rather hostile places.’

Trump said that the country now is ruled by ‘a leader who is grossly incompetent, surrounded by vicious people.’

He said Biden’s team ‘don’t believe in our nation.’

He added: ‘I believe they have to hate our nation, with open borders, and all of the other things – they don’t want voter ID, they want high taxes, they want high interest rates. They want everything that they shouldn’t be wanting.’

Trump said he presided over an era of energy independence, low taxation, military renewal and deregulation.

Asked by Pastor Jackson Lahmeyer how he wanted the assembled supporters to pray for him, Trump said they should pray for the country.

‘I think the greatest thing I can ask for is a prayer for our country, for our safety,’ he said. This has been a horrible time for the United States of America.

‘Leadership has taken us in many, many bad directions and we’re a failing nation – right now, we are a failing nation. So the most important thing, I believe right now, is pray for the safety, security, and future success of our country – that is the thing I would ask you to pray for.’

Trump spoke as police forces were discussing how best to handle any unrest if Trump is arrested.

On Monday afternoon, the NYPD met with the U.S. Secret Service and the chief of public safety for state court officers.

Their session wrapped up at NYPD headquarters late on Monday afternoon, with a decision to ramp up security around the courthouse starting Tuesday morning, a law enforcement official told DailyMail.com.

However, the source said the indictment itself is not expected until Wednesday, at the earliest, and that Trump likely wouldn’t come to New York until early next week.

‘They had their meeting and discussed a whole bunch of stuff about putting extra lighting out there, how they’re going to put more barriers out there, and send their special response teams in,’ the official said.

‘The NYPD is going to do what they do when the United Nations comes into town, with stepped up security.

‘But they don’t even think it’s going to happen this week,’ the source continued.

‘The indictment may happen, but they don’t think Trump comes this week.

‘I’m told there’s an additional witness who is going to testify on Wednesday, so if there’s an indictment it’s not going to happen until Wednesday or Thursday, so they think he probably comes next week.’

EXCLUSIVE: ‘He was afraid Melania would dump him.’ Donald Trump paid off Stormy to prevent his wife from finding out details of cheating claims – as it’s revealed the fuming first lady DID leave him and spent nights at a posh D.C. hotel when the news broke

Fuming Melania Trump spent several nights at a posh D.C. hotel to keep away from the White House when  news broke alleging the then-president had paid porn star Stormy Daniels for keeping quiet about their one-night stand, sources tell DailyMail.com.

It was just what Donald Trump had feared when he arranged to pay the porn star $130,000 in hush money 15 months earlier, a source close to the former president said.

‘Trump was beside himself that Melania would find out the details of his indiscretion – an indiscretion with a porn star no less.

‘He knew what the consequences could be and he would do whatever he could to keep a lid on it.’

Fuming Melania Trump spent several nights at a posh D.C. hotel away from President Trump after news broke in January, 2018 alleging he paid porn star Stormy Daniels for keeping quiet about their fling

Trump, 76, claims that he will be arrested on Tuesday on New York state charges he falsified business records and campaign finance violations related to reimbursing his then lawyer Michael Cohen for $130,000 to keep the porn star quiet.

He denies both any wrongdoing and the affair with Daniels, 44, and has called the case politically motivated. He described the payment to Daniels as a ‘nuisance payment’ that wealthy people sometimes pay to make a problem go away.

Still, the former first lady, now 52, opted for time away from her husband when the payoff to Daniels was reported by The Wall Street Journal in January 2018.

After the piece a celebrity magazine then published a cringe-worthy 2011 interview with Daniels in which she talked about the 2006 sexual encounter with the future president in a hotel room at a casino in Lake Tahoe, Nevada following a celebrity charity golf tournament.

The magazine had held on to the interview for seven years before publishing it.

‘It was upsetting and humiliating; her relationship with President Trump became strained,’ a source told DailyMail.com after news of the payment broke.

Melania left Washington D.C. for West Palm Beach, Florida, just as the president held court at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on January 18, 2018, an event the first lady was originally scheduled to attend.

Daniels, who has starred in movies such as Good Will Humping and Operation Desert Stormy and has just finished filming her latest flick, Lawless, claimed she could intimately describe the president’s manhood and even revealed sex positions they had enjoyed during their 2006 trust.

At the time of the fling, Melania was caring for her and Trump’s then-four-month-old son Barron.

East Wing communications director Stephanie Grisham told DailyMail.com at the time that the first lady’s decision to forgo the trip to Davos was based on ‘scheduling and logistical issues’.

Grisham – who has since had a public falling out with the Trumps – had said the First Lady had intended to go to Davos as a show of support for her husband, who delivered a speech at the forum.

One well-placed source said in 2018: ‘Melania spends three to four days a week away from the White House and has stayed at a hotel in D.C. multiple times in January, often for days at a time. She also travels up to New York.

‘She rarely comes into his West Wing office as other first ladies have done and her schedule is vague at best.

‘She seems to be avoiding duties unless there is a very special reason.

‘Talk among staffers is that the Stormy Daniels affair hit her hard, it’s been upsetting and humiliating and her relationship with President Trump has become strained.

‘If she is seen with him in public she’s very robotic, she smiles and then they go their separate ways.

‘Melania seems to be actively limiting the time she spends with her husband and her behavior has raised eyebrows.’

She wasn’t seen for days at a time, finally breaking cover to make an appearance at the Holocaust Museum in Washington  in advance of International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

It was the first time the then-FLOTUS had been seen in 10 days.

The White House did not invite reporters to cover the excursion, and it was only publicized by Melania’s spokeswoman with a tweet.

The couple’s 13th wedding anniversary on January 22  came and went without a mention by POTUS or FLOTUS, and no time was slotted in the president’s schedule for any such celebration.

The anniversary landed during a busy news cycle that saw the president tweeting four times throughout the day, solely on the government shutdown, that, at the time was entering its second month.

Melania did not tweet or mention the visit on her own social media either. In fact, she remained completely mum on her social through the day.

This was a departure from the couple’s 10th anniversary, when Trump reportedly gave Melania a 25-carat diamond ring, an upgrade from her previous 12-carat engagement ring.

‘This has been a year filled with many wonderful moments,’ she tweeted.

‘I’ve enjoyed the people I’ve been lucky enough to meet throughout our great country & the world!’

She accompanied the message with a photo showing the former model with a military escort on Inauguration day.

Daniels talked about the sexual encounter with the future president at the Harrah’s Casino hotel during the American Century celebrity golf tournament at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Stateline, Nevada, in July 2006.

Trump, she said, took the opportunity to summon her to the sheets after she used his suite’s bathroom.

‘The sex was nothing crazy,’ Daniels recalled. ‘He wasn’t like, chain me to the bed or anything. It was one position.’ She has since described it as ‘the worst 90 seconds of my life.’

She added: ‘I can definitely describe his junk perfectly, if I ever have to.’

Daniels said Trump ‘definitely seemed smitten’ after their romp. ‘He was like, “I wanna see you again, when can I see you again?”‘

Daniels told InTouch that Trump, then a reality TV star, lured her into conversations and sex with a promise that he would get her a role on his show, ‘The Apprentice.’

‘I didn’t have any unrealistic expectations of actually being on the show … So now I wonder if the whole thing was just a f***ing lie,’ she said, to get her into bed.

‘And I guess it worked.’

Daniels said that Trump deflected questions about his wife, the future First Lady, despite the fact that she was at home with an infant son while he was making publicity appearances.

As DailyMail.com revealed exclusively on Saturday, Stormy tied the knot with a fellow porn star who goes by the name Barrett Blade, 49, in December last year.

Trump and Melania’s marriage was thrust into the spotlight after the release of Michael Wolff’s book Fire and Fury in 2016, which detailed their bizarre private life.

Wolff claimed the marriage ‘was perplexing to almost everybody around [Trump]’ and that the two ‘spent relatively little time together.’

‘They could go days at a time without contact, even when they were both in Trump Tower.’

The book also stated that the First Couple slept in separate bedrooms in the White House –’the first time since the Kennedy White House that a presidential couple had maintained separate rooms.’

Wolff claimed the president also allegedly discussed with friends about ‘how the more years between an older man and a younger woman, the less the younger woman took an older man’s cheating personally.’
