Transgender influencer Nikkita Dragun was sent to a men’s prison unit after her arrest on Monday.

Dragun – who was born male but is legally female – was locked up after staff at The Goodtime Hotel called police to report a person being ‘extremely disorderly’ and ‘causing a disturbance.’

Staff at the Miami hotel said Dragun, 26, had been walking around the pool area naked, and when officers arrived she doused them with water. She was arrested and charged with felony battery on a police officer.

Dragun was then sent to the men’s unit at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center before being released without bail on Wednesday.

Representatives for the influencer said her imprisonment in the men’s unit was ‘extremely disturbing and dangerous.’

Despite the complaints, Dragun’s arrest affidavit lists her as having requested to be recognized as a male, according to NBC News.

The Miami-Dade County Corrections Department has not commented.

Representatives for Dragun voiced their grievances about the imprisonment decision in a statement.

‘The situation with Nikita, who is legally female, being placed in a men’s unit of a Florida jail is extremely disturbing and dangerous,’ said Jack Ketsoyan.

‘This decision made by the Miami-Dade County Corrections Department directly violates their protocol, which mandates that transgender inmates are classified and housed based on safety needs and gender identity.’

‘Nikita has been released and is now safe. Thank you for respecting her privacy during this time,’ he added.

Footage from Dragun’s bail hearing Tuesday showed the influencer asking the judge whether she needed to be held in a men’s unit.

‘Your honor may i ask one question,’ Drugan said while wearing a red prison uniform. May I, do I have to stay here in the men’s unit still?’

‘Yeah I don’t make the rules up there,’ said judge Mindy Glazer. ‘But they should be making a proper accommodation for you, you should be in a separate area.’

It is unclear if Dragun was put in a separate area.

At the end of the hearing, which saw Dragun broadcasting in remotely, the influencer blew the camera a kiss.

Despite Dragun’s legal status as a female, her arrest affidavit said she wanted to be ‘recognized as a male.’

‘[Dragun] appears as a female but would like to be recognized as a male,’ the affidavit read, according to NBC News.

It also said she used male ‘he’ and ‘him’ pronouns – despite her using female pronouns for several years.

Dragun’s prison profile lists her as a male despite her legal status as a female.

Her arrest affidavit showed that Dragun was arrested after hotel staff complained of her walking around public hotel spaces ‘unclothed,’ and that she threw water at hotel staff.

Police are said to have accompanied security to her room where loud music was playing, with security telling the star she needed to stop her behavior or leave the hotel.

Dragun is then said to have slammed the door in their faces, before opening the door again shortly afterwards and asking security: ‘Do you want more?’

She then allegedly swung an open water bottle at officers and hotel security ‘causing the water to hit and spill on.’

The star was booked at Miami-Dade County’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $5,000 bond, but was later released recognizance
